Is the glass half empty or half full?
-
I look at both the good and bad sides of things.

I guess I'm more of a realist. I also have moments where I'm indifferent on things and just go with the what ever floats your boat motto. :P

I try to be an optimist. Sometimes I get discouraged and find myself being very negative though.

To a scientist the glass is completely full with matter.

That's technically-accurate while side-stepping the inherent philosophical perspective in a way. A "scientist" would try to determine the intial state of the glass, (whether full of matter such as air molecules or liquid forms of matter). The conclusion about "fullness" would then depend upon the criteria parameters which form the basis of that conclusion. If "air" is a defining parameter, then the glass is never empty. If liquid matter is defining parameter, teh scientist may ask, "hey, who drank half of my drink?"

Unfortunately I am very pessimistic by nature, that is something that I have been working very hard this past year and half to change. Try not to let so many negative thoughts take over. Now when I am around negative people it really bothers me. :)

I always see the glass as half full. However, I am more optimistic on some things and more pessimistic about others. It all depends on the circumstances of the situation.

I used to be a half-empty person but now I am a half-full individual.

For that last week I haven't been either one. I have tuned out of this world and won't be back until I change my life and make myself happy again. :angry7:

I can be more pessimist with my own problems, but can easily be optimistic concerning someone elses situation.

It's half empty when I'm thirsty. I don't know which I am.
