i buy mostly new things but i am a flea market and thrift shop person also i have found some really great things used
-
I love thrift stores and goodwill stores. SOmetimes you find the best stuff at them.
-
I love flea markets. And we have a really Good Goodwill. Sometimes you can even find new things with the tags still on at very reasonable prices
-
Most of the time, used is just as well as new and cost a whole lot less. I prefer buying some things new, but I am fine with buying most items used. I'm definitely a fan of saving money. ;D
-
 there is nothing wrong with picking up certain items 2nd hand. you would be surprised how much money you save in long run. in this economy every penny counts
-
I buy both new and used! If I can find a good deal at Goodwill then great! If I need big items like desks, bookshelves, etc then I check on craigslist. I have gotten alot of really good deals on there!
-
I always heard that one man's junk is another man's treasure. You can come across some GREAT second hand finds. I actually prefer old books. They read just as well and they have character!
-
I always buy books used. I've found some great deals!
-
Depends on what it is and why I need it. If I can afford it new and I know I will keep using it, I'll get it new. For things like school books that I don't need for my career, I bought them used to save some money.
-
I buy as much as I can used, within reason of course. I need to save $$ where ever possible.
-
Both...It depends on the product and if it is still works :icon_rr:
-
I shop at for new stuff most of the time.
-
For me, it depends of what it is. I buy used video games, and if I needed a book, I will look for a used copy.
-
My daughter in-law just purchased a kitchen table set off of craigs list, it was a 500 dollar set she got for 75 dollars, it is gorgeous!!
-
New & Used. A lot of things I would have turned my nose up at a few years ago, are perfect now even thought they are gently used! LOL I have been well off and I have been broke. Well off is a lot more fun, less stressful, more relaxing. HAHAHA LOL. Maybe I can figure out how to write up a grant proposal to study which is better broke or well off. They study everything else.
-
Depends on what it is. If it's in a good condition, then why not?
-
old when it's materials, supplies, furniture, cars or any big items, new when it's stuff that touches your body like clothes
-
ALL DEPEND ON WHO YOU GET YOUR USED PRODUCT FROM YOU CAN GO TO A FLEAMARKET AND GET SOME PRETTY GOOD USED STUFF
-
I shop alot at thrift stores, garage sales, flea moarkets, etc. Usually purchase clothes new because I can't find used ones that I like or fit. Most everything else I try and find used. Well except for groceries. LOL
-
I buy almost everything new. Sometimes I get stuff at thrift stores. I do NOT like going to flea markets though. I don't like paying to get in when a lot of times there is nothing of interest for me to get.
-
I used to buy a lot more new, but now I always try to check eBay or Craigslist for a nice used product before I spend 3x as much for a new one. If it's in great shape, what difference does it make if someone else owned it before I did?
-
I guess it depends on what you are buying.
-
In general, I always go with new things. I don't trust the quality of used stuff.
-
I shop thrift stores all the time. There is no variety in the retail stores - and of course the prices are better.
-
I do both. Mostly depends on what it is, how soon I need it, how much it costs.
-
I buy both new and used! If I can find a good deal at Goodwill then great! If I need big items like desks, bookshelves, etc then I check on craigslist. I have gotten alot of really good deals on there!
Same here. Right now we are looking for a used lawnmower. We just need something that works and gets the job done.
-
Either! I only buy clothes when they are on sale, unless they are really cheap (like $10-15) at regular price. I've been searching online, recently, and have been looking for stores that sell used clothing because they tend to be in great condition.
-
I usually buy everything used. Too poor to pay retail.
-
i buy mostly new things but i am a flea market and thrift shop person also i have found some really great things used
I always feel proud when i buy a product used that was much more money new. SO i pick used
-
It depends on what it is and how used it is.
-
Before I turned 30 I wouldn't dream of shopping in a thrift store. Recently I found out that most of the things that my friends wear come from thrift stores. I have found some great bargains over the last year.
-
I love shopping for used stuff at thrift shops and garage sales. I'm a tight-wad I guess, and the cheaper I can get something for, the better. The only things I usually buy new are electronics, since I don't trust used stuff. Although I have gotten a used camera that works great.
-
I buy used items on ebay and amazon all the time as long as they are in great shape. Why spead extra for something new when you can get it cheaper slightly used.
-
I buy alot from thrift shop because most of the time I haven't the money to pay $50 for a pair of jeans!! I do buy my underwear new though.
-
I love second hand thing and love to save money.
-
Depends which type of item's for sell! I do buy both, and you can find great deals on used items too!
-
I do go to resale and thrift stores regularly and spend alot of money there, when I get bored with my stuff I have a garage sale and lots of times get most of my money back. However, these stores prices have really raised over the last couple years and now I have to watch more closely to make sure I am getting a bargain. Recently a store called Carsons was running 70% off the markdown, I was able to get brand new, very stylish clothes, CHEAPER then I can at resale/thrift stores. But, I love going and looking. I have found some excellent comforters etc....no way could I buy new like I do there...so just depends on the area, my husbands job has us travel alot and the different areas have different prices so I always have to check them out when we go to new places!!
-
I like both new and used, though I tend to lean towards new.
Growing up, I never really had "nice, new" things...and now that I'm off on my own, I want everything to be new.
I know that's not always the best approach, and I do still shop for used items...I just prefer new.
-
I don't usually find things that I want at thrift stores, but I do look occasionally. If I see something I like, I have no problems with buying something used.
-
That depends on what you're talkin about!! Cars? PEOPLE?????? lol!!!! :dontknow:
-
Depending on the product, I'll say both.
-
there is nothing wrong with buying this at thrift stores and goodwill stores or even at yard sales
-
I enjoy shopping at a thrift store I find some nice things in the clothing area for me and my son plus I have found some other things that are a great buy like this computer chair omg its so comfy.
-
I often buy used products that are high enough quality to get some use out of them for awhile. I have bought a few things out of Thrift Stores before. I buy used products from Amazon.com a lot.
-
i  thrift stores
-
We actually sold some furniture at a thrift store. We got a percentage of the sales and after the contracted period they donated it and gave us the receipt for tax purposes.
-
I have no problem buying used items so long as they are still good.
-
I love buying most things used, esp. cars, books, furniture, etc. However, if the difference between the new and used price is not significant, I will usually go with the new product.
-
I admit I buy mostly new stuff but I do get a lot of my clothes at saint vincent de paul or goodwill. If I look for something specific I usually have better luck finding it new.
