what's your take on tattoos? and what design would you get ?
-
I personally like tattoos. I currently have the Kanji characters for life and death on my left arm with a tribal design under it. On my right arm I have a jester skull. I'll eventually have the jester skull covered it up. It was done on a drunken whim at the beach years ago.

My personal take on tattoos is that I am no fan of them. I would never get one. But there are people who love them. And I do believe that if you do decide to get one you should think real hard about what you get.

I think its up to the individual whether he or she likes them. I for one have no problem with them and I have a few already

A part of me would like to have a tattoo, but I wouldn't know what to get that I would feel 100% comfortable living the rest of my life with.

I like tattoos. I have one right now its a ribbon. The next one I wanna get is Snoopy.
-
I think that one should only ever get a tattoo if it's meaningful rather than merely for the fun of it or simply to have a tattoo.

I am not a fan of tattoos.

Tattoos are okay it just depends on the person and what tylpe of tattoo that they get. I say to each his own

I personally don't like tatoos. I think it looks bad. Sorry to say but to me that is for low life people. I wouldn't want my doctor, lawyer, or a policeman with tatoos. Imagine the president with tatoos. . . LOL!

I have one tattoo and I love it. I wanted one since I was 17...18. But I couldn't find one that meant something to me, till I was 39. I was at a fundraiser, that I go to every year, and I asked the tattoo artist if he had something Sylvester (love cats and collect Sylvester stuff). Most of what I seen didn't appeal to me, but then he found one that had Tweety's feet hanging out of his mouth and that was it. I bought my first tattoo for my 40th birthday. A little gift to myself. So hold out. You'll know it when you see it. I did and it took me more than 20 years.

Got my tattoos about 35 years ago when nobody had them but sailors and ex-cons. I even did a few for friends with a home made gun. should have stuck with it, could have made some money by now.

I DO NOT LIKE TATTOOS ON MY BODY BUT THE DESIGNS ARE BEAUTIFUL.

I have four tattoos. I got all four of them at age 28. I am kind of regretting my decision. I have my name on my arm. One of them I got out of spite. I want to get it removed.

I love this post, I have been wanting a tattoo for a long time. I just turned 49 years old an I would like to have a rose on the top of my foot. When I mention it to my friends they say I shouldn't do it. What do you think? If I decide to get it I want mention it again I will just go get it done.

I don't have any tattoos. My 2 oldest kids (32 & 30) do but I could not bring myself to do that.

Well, Max, at your age (our age, 40's) you probably know yourself, and chances are if you do get a tattoo, its not spur of the moment or on a whim, but something you really want. And the chance of you regretting it should be pretty minimal. Just be sure you go to a good tattoo artist. ;) Not all tattoo artists are created equal.

I don't have any, but I like tattoos.

I never really liked tattoos unless they are for a special reason and they have to be small and in the right place.
-
I'm not really a fan but my son has a bunch of big ones. He's spent a fortune getting them and then getting more to cover up or change the originals. Some are pretty but others are pretty yucky :sad1:
