I want to vent a little so I hope you will bear with me. I also would like to know how many of you agree or disagree with me:
Since I was a teen in the early 80's I would get off the bus about three (est) and walk in the house at five after. I would immediately turn on the TV to ABC and watch General Hospital. Now all of the sudden they are changing the time that it is on to two Eastern standard time!!!!!!! I have to drive my 10 year old to school and pick her up everyday and she gets out of school at 2:15. By the time I will get home it is 2:30 so I will have missed half of the show. Some of you may be thinking why don't I just rewatch it on soup net or record it. But I can't do either because we don't have cable. Why do they have to mess with something that has had that time slot for so long and is doing so well?????? :BangHead: :sad1:

I would suggest getting a DVR that records from the antenna. It is the modern equivalent of the VCR. No monthly fees either.

I understand you on that. Plus I understand that you dont have access to a dvr or recording device. So Ill say this Yeah I dont like when tv people screw with your daily routine. Just like I dont like when they start cancelling shows after you just was starting to really enjoy them. :BangHead: :confused1:

find a new show to get high off of.

It's not like I can just go out and find another show. I'm 45and have been watching it since I was at least 15. part of my probllem is what they are puuting in it's time slot. aren't there enough talk type shows out there!!!

I was mad when they took AMC off and then OLTL. Now to change the time on GH is to much. I wish they would just leave it alone.
-
I know what you mean. I watched AMC for yrs, then OLTL, (really like Todd, the old one) Now I've switched to Y&R, suppose they'll be taking that off soon too!! Seems like reality shows are taking over the whole TV.. Not real happy with that either. Ugh!! :'(

I understand your frustration; it's so much junk on tv so when they take a show you love and replace it with more of what there's already too much of it gets under your skin. Maybe you can find GH online.

I don't really care cause I don't watch soaps. But if I had watched something for years and they changed the time I would probably be upset. I don't have tv at all so I don't watch anything. All I can pick up is pbs. Anyway, times change and tv programs change. What will you do when it goes off the air like some of the other soap operas have? You obviously have internet so maybe you could watch it online. I have done that with shows from abc. It's usually a day behind. Not sure if soaps show like primetime night shows do or not. Or you might could subscribe to hulu and watch it there. :)

Thanks. And I have internet access because I go to the library where I only get two hours a day if I'm lucky. until we can afford to get a new computer and inter net service that is.

Channel 5 has been messing with all their programs and canceling a lot of favorites. It stinks. I have watched GH for years also and think it should keep it's time slot.
-
Well i guess for tose of us that like the current time slot for general only have today adn tomorrow to enjoy it cause come monday it's an hour earlier :angry7: :crybaby2:

I feel your pain DJohnson43. I think they switched the time so Katie Couric could have that time slot. I don't think it's fair to GH fans, that show has been in that time slot for decades. Ms. Couric must have a lot of pull to force GH out. I just hope their ratings don't go down because now people like yourself won't be able to watch . I would hate to see that show taken off the air, it's the best soap ever. :peace:

I agree with you. I HATE when they change the time slot of a favorite show, especially if they replace it with junk. How many talk shows, and court shows do we need? Maybe you can wait until someone has a sale and buy a DVD - good luck!

actually i was wondering why dont you just let your daughter ride the bus lol
