I HAD NO IDEA BOBBY PINS WENT IN WAVY SIDE DOWN - am I the only one who has been doing it wrong my whole life? Starting today I have been doing wavy side down and it makes such a tremendous difference, thank goodness for Google!
-
Thanks for the info.!
-
Wavvy side down? hmm interesting tip.
-
Thank you for sharing this tip. I’ve been inserting the pins on my hair the same way as you all this time too. After reading this, I instantly wear my bobby pin wavy side down. :)
-
What difference does it make?
-
I never knew that. I don't use bobby pins though.
-
who cares lol whats next? got any real beauty tips? i dont even need make up half the time...or stuff for my hair. :P
-
I haven't used bobby pins in a long time, but it seems to me it would be uncomfortable to insert them wavy side down since that would have one end pointing into your scalp. :dontknow:
-
I didn't know anyone still uses bobby pins. I thought they were history like the puffy pink curlers. :bunny:
-
Wow I never knew that all these years I have been wearing them wrong. Thank for the tip. Hmm things we should know. There is probably some things that's a need to know.
-
LOL...Nope never heard of this either...I don't wear bobby pins much but will remember if I do. Thanks
-
Never heard of that either, maybe it holds your hair better that way!
-
Never knew that.I have always wore the wavy side up.Will have to try that.Always see a lot of women with the wavy side up.
-
I did not know that, would have to try it. could you tell me where you saw or heard it, I am interest to know
-
i just googled "my bobby pins keep slipping out" because every time I have a problem I google it lol because I always find a sweet solution that I never would have thought of on my own! :angel12:
-
No, I did not know this. Thanks for the information, I don't use bobby pins that often anymore but it is good to know.
-

-
Good to know. I had wondered before but never asked.
-
I wore bobby pins back in the day but thats been a long time ago lol. My girls wear bobby pins sometimes now and so do my granddaughters. I'll have to share this info with them. I remember my Mom used to use them a lot but I never noticed which direction they went in. Wish I had of though. Thanks for the info.
-
Thanks for the tip! I had no idea that they went down a certain way.....Good to know!!!!
-
wow don't use them anymore, but had no clue, I guess we all been doing it wrong, but it would make more since the other way, I would think it harder to pick up out of hair trying to find it, because it is shorter end.
-
I don't use bobby pins, but I never knew that.
-
I just checked mine and I use them wavy side up because the flat side is longer and easier to open.
-
Wow, I never knew that. I don't wear them too much anymore but it seems weird to put them wavy side down. But then again it beats taking them out and then readjusting them over and over again.
-
I think I put them in either way. I didn't know one way worked better than the other. Thanks for the tip!!!
-
I still use bobby pins occasionally and have always used them wavy side down. I've seen other women use them the other way and it always looked weird to me.
-
Interesting - I have some colored ones that I haven't been successful using because they don't stay in place. BUT I have always put them flat side down. I'll have to try the wavy side down and see if they stay in place longer. Thanks for the tip ;)
-
Thanks for the tip. I stopped using bobby pins because they kept sliding out, and I was told it was because my hair was very fine that they just wouldn't hold. I used to use them when I put my hair up in a bun for competitions. I'll have to try this trick to see if they slid out due to inserting them upside down or if my hair really is that fine. ;D
-
What's the difference of wavy side up or down?
-
I've put them in my hair different way's, cause of the hair style! Thanks for the tip!
-
I have never heard this either.
I always have problems with bobby pins.
I am going to try this right now !
-
The only time I wear bobby pins is to hold floweres or bows in my hair, now I know the right way to put them in.
-
well i dont know how i put my bobby pins in but as long as they stay then i dont care.
-
Haha, wow. You're not the one who has been doing this wrong. Thanks for telling me that it is wavy side down! I always wondered why it would fall out so easily.
-
It all depends on the look your going for(if your going for a sleek, and pretty look then wear bobby pins flate side up/if your looking for a messy, grundy look then bumpy side up is for you)so there is no wrong or right way to wear a bobby pin wear it what ever way you want. ;D

Thank you for the information. Here is another beauty tip: If you have fine facial hair around the eyes, bleach it with hair creams. If you do not do it, the feather like hair look produced by the facial hair around the eyes looks like wrinkles...terrible looking wrinkles.

Before I had my hair cut short 9 years ago I always used bobby pins to roll up my hair and I used rollers on top. I had never heard of using the pins wavy side up. Could you tell me the difference it make and does it curl better? Hope everyone has a great weekend and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.
-
I just put my hair up and put bobby pins in it and I did not put them wavy side down. Hmmm. May have to go try that. Very interesting.
-
wow i didn't know that either. it just made sense to go in the other way but I guess they stay better that way
-
I never knew that. I wear bobby pins often. From now on I will wear them the right way. Thanks for this interesting information.
-
I've always worn them both ways, lol.
