Hello All,

Since the conversation is based on TV shows, I guess I will not discuss the various movies which I have recently watched, such as Alabama Moon, The Music Never Stops, Elena Undone, Carolina, Timer, The Caller, Radio,W.E., Just Ask My Children, and The Color of Magic! However, I am having difficulties getting the hang of the fun TV Reward, especially when my husband is at work and I cannot ask him to remember what I forget. lol  s:o)xoox

  Dancing With the Stars, I cannot get into that show, but now my mother-in-law never misses it. Furthermore, I really like to play the TV Reward game, especially because I see that even the shows my husband likes are in the list. However, I have yet figured out how to get the TV Reward rewarded, but I am a stubborn fool and I will continue to try... besides I have fun and so does my husband when we play together. Have a super fantastic day, go out and dance in let the rain, just continue to smile!

                 :D Respectfully, Carol   s;0)xoox

We watch Dancing With The Stars too.  Of course I have to put up with a lot of grumbling and criticism of the show from my husband.  He doesn't like to watch much of anything on regular TV stations.  I've offered to watch in another room but he doesn't like that idea either.  lol  I enjoy the voice but I DVR that and watch it when he's not here.

Most of the TV shows I watch are on On Demand and I watch after they have aired.

I work nights so I do not get to watch when they are actually airing

I don't watch many shows much on t.v. anymore. Most of the shows I do watch are on cable which I don't have, so I watch them on netflix or online. I watch Luther (BBC), Sherlock Holmes (BBC), Dexter (Showtime), Game of Thrones (Hmm, don't know), Spartacus (Starz), Breaking Bad (AMC), The Walking Dead (AMC), and some other shows, but the ones I've listed are the ones I impatiently wait for new episodes from.

I watch many but only Dancing with the stars of the reality ones.  I do not like any other reality show, well maybe Biggest Loser at the beginning, last season was horrible.  But I like to watch Once Upon a Time, Revolution, Criminal Minds, Law & Order SVU, Bones and 1 or 2 more.

Hello All,
                  :notworthy:
I am really impressed with the ROKU, mostly because it is not something that the price can be increased just before the monthly bill is do. I mean really, the choices are easy for me; pay a large monthly bill to sit and stare at most of what has no real piece of your life, or pay a one time cost for the ROKU and you even have more choices than anything else out there for the televisions. In fact, I can watch shows and movies that have no cost to them like those in Crackle, or I can pay about $8.00 a month for Netflix or Hulu Plus, or have both and pay a total amount of $15.98 per month!   :D
                           Respectfully, Carol

Hi jklawyer,

  Yes, MASH was one of the great ones. In fact, for the longest time the final show had the most viewers than any other, but I am not sure which show finally beat the ratings of the MASH show. Thanks for the memories....       :notworthy:

That is what I was thinking too. I know the actress that played the role of the wife/mother is in another show, so I dont know if she will be in this one or not. They sort of left a cliffhanger with the child that lived that actress Lange was raising... I wonder if that will be addressed at all. Who knows.

I am not familiar with the ROKU.  How does that work?
Title: Re: TV shows
Post by: RosieQ on October 07, 2012, 12:41:41 pm
  Hello lovelee27,

The ROKU is a small device that is usually sold at stores like Walmart and Radio Shack, or you can go to the hulu website and purchase one or more. Furthermore, before you hook this device to you television you need to have internet, which I assume you have unless you only use the internet on your telephones like cell phones. Therefore, you need to have internet access, a ROKU, an ethernet and then you hook them up. Now, you can watch "free" television shows in Crackle, you can pay a monthly fee for Hulu Plus and/or Netflix, you can post on your facebook page, share pictures, listen to free music of your choice through Pandora, and play games.  :star:
                                         :angel12:
In addition, you can pick and choose what you want just go into the Channel Store where there are free locations and those that charge either a monthly fee, or a one time fee. I like Hulu Plus very much, but the only negative is we get the prime time shows a day after they are shown. However, some stuff can be live you just have to pay for it. We have two ROKUs, Hulu Plus and Netflix along with Pandora, Crackle, and one with Disney short skits. In fact, the best part is watching those old sitcoms from the pilot to the final show. I hope this helps! Wow, you would think I created the ROKU, unfortunately it was not me... although I would like to have been the one.  :peace: Have a nice day, the one where you curl-up on the couch and watch old-time, or even present-time movies.

                         Sincerely, RosieQ

I am into the HBO show Veep! So funny! Speaking of HBO, I have HBO go so I bought a HDMI cable so I could watch the old series again from my table onto my Big Screen TV. Problem is a box comes up that says HBO Go does not support HDMI. WOW! I say we all contact HBO GO and ask that they support it!

Anyone else tried this! :bootyshake:

I don't watch a lot of TV but I can not wait for Vampire Diaries on the CW to start airing again. I love that show so much!
I'm also a big fan of reality TV.

Most of the shows I watch, I watch On Demand because my job requires me to work during Primetime sadly.

I don't really keep up with what on television.  I mostly just watch netflix all day long.  I find it more appealing because it has great shows with absolutely no commercials, which I happen to love the most.  all of those inconvenient commercials that have no relation to anything important or of interest to me.  And I'm currently stuck on a new show called, Once Upon a Time, which is very good and really addictive.

I like the old shows a lot better, still watch reruns of the andy griffith show, love him in Matlock; like Murder she Wrote; and still watch a lot of the old Westersn; but they usually don't show up, so I would be lost trying to answer questions.  Wish they would do some surveys on the old show, but not sure how many would agree with me. :dontknow:

The best new show I have seen as for comedy so far is Reba in Malibu Country.  Between her and Lily Tomlin, who plays her mother - they are a scream!!!  If you ever watched her first show "Reba" and liked it you'll love this one!!!!  Hilarious!!!!!!

I really thought this board was about the short scenes in video link.  I loved the race, sorry horrible about names.  But the one were there was teams competing for a dinner with a singer preformer.  Now they are doing cute commercials that are interesting, too.  I think the computer one was wierd.  I did notice it does no good to watch twice anymore.  The second time you don't get credit for it.
