I have a neighbor who just moved from another nearby city.
The DMV charged her $25 for a change address on her license plate and ID card.
When she was notified afterwards, the DMV made a mistake and didn't put the new address on there.
The question on the form was "current address on plate"; she was suppose to put the NEW address there, but the WORDING did not make the emphasis clear.
Some businesses do not make their forms clear for the information they are asking for.
Shouldn't it have read "NEW ADDRESS for plate"?
When the DMV was contacted again, another rep said to write a letter with the plate information and new address.
What a difference! It does help when there is ONE person in the office who knows what they are doing.
Sometimes, I feel like I need to come up with the questions to ask as well as figure out the answers.

I have filled out forms like that before I hate that. It seems that if we notice that the question isn't clear than those wanting the information would notice also.

i did all that online and was only charged a dollar and it was easy!

We are so lucky where we live, can go into DMV and usually be out in 15 minutes and have everything done including change of address on our voting reg. It was so bad where i lived before (border town) that we would be waiting for 2-3 hours. Am so glad i am away from that mess now.
