I think that Snopes does the world a favor with its snooping of various rumors and such. I also like Skepdic.com and reading the articles whenever I am bored. The internet is such a great place to research and find out the most random things, ne?

Yes it's the first place I go when someone sends me a forward that sounds like it's an urban legend.  Every time Snopes had the info and said it was a lie then I send the forward back to the person with the link to Snopes telling them not to believe everything they read.

I use Snopes a LOT.  My in-laws fall for every one of those stupid email forwards about there being internet rapists on the loose, and anacondas in the ball pit at Burger King, or KFC not using "real" chicken.  I just copy the Snopes.com link and send it back to them--every time.

I go to Snopes every so often. I used to visit it more, but I've read up on all the urban legends and old wives tales stuff. I'm more interested in those than the more recent stories that have been circulating.

They are very acurate on what they find out. If you think something is a bit weird and you don't know what to believe then go on that site and get the real scoop.

I don't use Snopes, but I DID read about it in Reader's Digest a couple months back, and it sounds really cool. I've been hearing some really annoying crap about McDonald's using kangaroo meat, or whatever the hell, in their burgers. Aren't kangaroos a protected species? I thought it was so unbelievably stupid, I didn't even bother looking it up, and the couple at Snopes probably felt the same way, assuming they even HEARD about it.
Anacondas in the ball pit at Burger King, or KFC not using "real" chicken.

WTF???
Sorry, just had to get that out of my system.
But, seriously....
A. Burger King HAS ball pits? And are anacondas even LEGAL to own/ bring near a Burger King and their nonexistent ball pits in the US? And am I a moron for actually SAYING that?
B. If KFC's chicken isn't real, then CHICKENS aren't, period. Little rubber chickens laying Easter Eggs. It's a LIE!!!!
