How many of you believe in ghosts, haunting's and the paranormal?
Any strange experiences?
We've been taking some "haunted history tours" in and around our area this year.....so interesting...and a lot of history education as well.

I have never seen a ghost but I've had strange sensory incidents. One incident: My husband and I were caregivers for his father, who had emphysema, in the last few months of his life. Several weeks after he passed away, I heard him cough, go out the front door, and close it. I thought it was my husband coming home early from work (he worked midnight shift). I called out, and there was no one there.

I can't say that I believe in them nor do I believe they don't exist. I just don't know. I know a lot of wierd things happen and believe it might be possible. If they do exist though, I would like to see one.

i tend to believe they do exist.
the couple of vague experiences that i've had (which in all
honesty i don't know what they were)...are enough
to make me feel like it's definitely possible.
i believe in ''signs'' as well. some may say that it's a coping
mechanism to see signs of communication after a loved
one has passed away. either way, i enjoy them and i wish
i could be more open minded to see more of them. i have
heard more believable stories with these than with ghosts
or hauntings...

Yeah, I do. I haven't had any experiences myself but I love to watch those ghost shows. However I always like to think of the most logical explanation for those kinds of things first.

Yes, I believe in the other side making or trying to make, contact with us. Some have things left unsaid or have unfinished business. Purgatory is what many souls experience after their physical being has left this earth. I am a retired Veteran from the U.S. Army who served during the Vietnam war. MANY strange occurrences and unexplained happenings. Matter of fact, the early 1800's home my Wife and I bought in 2008 is lived in by 2 spirits, not ghosts. Ghosts and spirits are essentially the same as they live in the same realm and have the same kind of energy. However, there are subtle differences too.
A ghost has more of a negative connotation associated with it when in comparison to a spirit. It is like a soul that finds it difficult to cross the realm between living and the non-living. Ghost stories add on to this feeling of being scared and wary of ghosts that you might find around the corner.
On the other hand, spirits are there, and we may feel them such as a cold blast of air or a sound in the corner. They are like elves in fairytales who might be mischievous but not harm you maliciously. Spirits are here to give us a guiding hand and are associated with a guardian angel. A parent or grandparent who loved you dearly and can’t bear seeing you in anguish will come to you in your time of need. They can be great sources of comfort and even advice one in subtle ways.
Ghosts do nothing of this sort for us. They are there and just their presence is ominous with bad tidings. They are probably waiting for someone to help them to pass on to the next realm where they actually belong.
I used to go to Richmond on work business and my Wife would get visited by a female & male spirit. At first, this freaked her out. But they were there to comfort her as she was alone in this big house. They usually only make appearances when there is sadness in the house. Like when my Wife miscarried and found out she had 2 large tumors on her ovaries. She had to have what's called a Salpingo Oopherectomy, where they took everything out of her. The spirits surrounded her for about a month straight. We would hear the steps at night as if someone was walking up them. They don't bother us at all. Just a calm comfort.

I believe in ghosts for the fact I saw my grandfather sitting on my bed a couple of days before he died and then I saw him with my grandmother a couple of days before she died several years later.

I think there are things around that we cannot see. On a ghost tour in Las Vegas we stopped at a park and took pictures at night. When viewing the digital photos there were neon type lights in the photos that were not visible in person.

I do not believe in the paranormal.

I don't know if it's "ghosts" in the haunting sort of way, but I believe that spirits exist and perhaps even linger around their old home or people they love.

I only see ghosts, hauntings, and paranormals in movies and on tv. :o

I can't say I really believe in these supernatural scenarios as I've not run into any either, but this doesn't stop me from being hypersensitive to my surroundings after a thriller/scary movie or television show.

I do beleive in huantings, but not in the way others do. I beleive the Bible says, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." I do think that demons disguise themselves as ghosts either for amusement or to distract people from the gospel. I beleive the Bible also says we entertain angels unawares. To me at least it might mean that demons are entertained as well. They are fallen angels. Thats just my opinion about it though.

I am not totally certain exactly what i believe in...but I do believe.
I have had several experiences that I could not otherwise explain. Strange visions prior to a family members death. senses of a presence, dreams that didn't make sense until later when something happened.
One, in particular, was a house, that at the time we purchased it was about 110 years old...we were in the process of remodelling it. We closed off the second floor..no one ever went up there...we'd all be sitting in the family room on the first floor....or just one of us would be home...and hear a childs footsteps upstairs...sometimes walking...sometimes running across the floor..down the upstairs hall. When we would go check there would be nothing there.. and obvious that the closed off area at the top of the steps had not been disturbed. Several months later we moved a small shed that was falling apart...it had been placed at the end of a short sidewalk leading from the back porch....and under the shed, at the end of the sidewalk we discovered a very young childs handprint that had been pressed into the wet concrete at the time it was poured. After a while I finally mentioned the handprint to a couple people that had lived in the area many years...raised there,,their parents raised there...knew much about the history of the little old town...both mentioned having known that there had been a young child in the original family...yet no one seems to know just what happened to the child...a small girl...no one can recall her growing up..no decendents..etc. I then described the footsteps we'd heard....and one then did admit there had been "rumors"...but wouldn't elaborate.....So...we can only guess....

I dont belive in it but my old house was always cold in the den no matter what season it was and every baby that came over stared right at the celing.

Oh I definitily believe in all of it. :thumbsup: Kind of hard not to when you have physic abilities and read tarot cards for myself and only family and friends of course. Not professionally! We always have things happening in our house that to anyone else would not be easily explainable. To us though we know it is my daughter who died when she was seven back in 99. Things turn up somewhere where we know it hadn't been the week before. A hat she had gotten, a couple weeks before she died, at a show she'd gone to is mounted to one spot. After she died we tried to put it up in different places but it always fell right off till we put it on a nail right to the side of my desk in the den. Just recently it fell off the nail for no reason after all these years and behind the desk when I reached for it I saw my diamond earring that had gone missing a couple years age. It had not been there three weeks before.
Also when I was dating guys, before my husband, and my dates found out about my physic powers they would take me to different places they believed were haunted. One place in particular I could say without a doubt that there was some confederate soldiers and union that had been killed and I never even knew about this place when I was taken to it. When I said to my date, after he shivered, that there was a ghost standing right next to him that was it. He said lets get out of here.
When I would do a reading for a friend then they came back later and told me it had come true they couldn't believe it. But that holds true too for when I would tell them something that had happened to them in their past and they had never told me. But what would freak a couple friends out is when I would call and tell them a conversation word for word they had just had with someone else weather on the phone or in person. And they usually were not favorable conversations. :- ??? :o

I have never have and experience with them, but yeah I believe, I believe that there are forces out there that are bad and mean harm, there are things out there that are scary. My godmother has a picture of her at her old house and on the picture you can see a shadow behind her, it was scary and they moved right after seen that.

No I do not believe in ghosts or paranormal activity. I think it is something made up to make people think and wonder. It is a great thing to use in movies, especially horror movies. But it is all fake and none of it really exists. For the people the supposedly do believe I think they are hallucinating. The brain is a powerful entity. It controls out bode and our thoughts and can also make us believe we see things or hear things that are not there. I think most of the shows on TV abut ghost hunting or ghost stories are all blown out of proportion. I think there is back stories to those people that claim these things. Like maybe alcohol abuse or drug abuse. And all the things you see or hear on TV can be created using computers, like apparitions and so called EVP's. So do not believe all this garbage.
