Title: READY FOR CHRISTMAS????
Post by: Eugenia06 on November 05, 2012, 06:38:51 am
Will you be spending more or less this year? Since my children are older now, I have less gifts to buy, but more money to give out. My kids are 15 14 & 10, I have no clue what to buy them, maybe a few ideas but not enough ideas to avoid the cash. So I'll just give them the money to buy what ever they want with their money.

I will be spending much less this year only because I have been entering contests and signing up for free offers. All of the prizes that i have received are gonna become Christmas gifts for family. the only money i have spent was money i earned through Jingit and FC of course but that has only been about $15 so far. I have been working hard on different sites to reach cashout so i can get giftcards.

No I am not ready at all. I try to keep my eyes open during the year for some of the small gifts or ideas, but I really don't start till after Thanksgiving. If I start any early it seems like the whole commercialism of Christmas then takes over our house and we start to forget what the holiday really is about. So the less time and less money we spend the better the Christmas have been, because then we have focused on spending time with our friends and each other

We won't spend that much and also will be giving out Christmas cards. I used to buy gifts, but money became so tight that there wasn't anything really left to spend on presents. It's been a long time since we celebrated Christmas with a ton of presents so I have gotten used it and don't mind not getting much. As a gift I'd rather just have money anyway than a bunch of presents if I had my choice. If I change my mind on a gift or don't want a gift, I don't have to return it and can just buy what I want. I also prefer to give money when I have it.
