Looking at the state by state maps of the "election" results clearly shows that there is Taxation without Representation in this country. For example, the map of Virginia is predominately Red, with a few Blue counties. Yet Obama got the electoral votes from Virginia, meaning that the much larger portion of the state has no representation. The same thing happened in the Senate race in that state. This is only one example, several other states were similar. How is the process fair when a few counties get all the say over the whole state? With the current situation in this country, a few herds of mindless sheeple in the big cities, following the feed buckets of their masters into bondage, control the destinies of the whole country. The founding fathers must be turning over in their graves!
-
I hate to break this to you, but the founding fathers actually established the electoral college in the Constitution as a compromise between electing a President by vote of Congress and electing one solely by popular vote of "qualified citizens" which meant no women or minorities back when it was drafted. So no, they wouldn't be at all shocked.
-
The founding fathers would definitely be shocked at the kind of politicians that get "elected." They would be shocked at how a minority of people can rig the elections to put communists and socialists in power.
-
Given that they lived in the 1700s, they would no doubt be shocked that there was a black president since many of the founding fathers owned slaves and even fathered children out of wedlock with them as in the case of Thomas Jefferson. However, it's now 2012 and our democracy has evolved along with our society.
Since socialism and communism hadn't yet emerged as economic and political models in the 1700s, I doubt that the founding fathers would even grasp the concept. Besides, a Democrat won the election. ::)

It is also shown if you watched CNN that reason why OBAMA won in those states is because the heavy populated areas bring in the most votes for him. There is a lot of states who still have small towns with not many people there. This is an example of what I mean by people not doing research and learning whats really going on and instead they just spew hatred comments.

Voter fraud has been investigated over and over and continually is found to be almost non-existent. Take your lumps and move on. I would suggest changing your parties strategy, because clearly it hasn't worked too well this election cycle.

That's basically how the electoral college works and is why many people such as yourself have an issue with it. I didn't need to watch CNN or do "research" to figure this out. It was covered in civics class back when I was in high school. Sorry if you feel factual comments and historical facts are "hatred comments". American history is what it is.

The very people who re-elected Obama are the ones who are blinded by the light of the great mesia!! They therefore cannot research to find out the truth because even if the truth is place right in front of them they can't see it! He's gonna be leading all his little sheep to slaughter before the next 4 years is over with.
-
Please tell me how any of Rmoney's policies would have differed from Bush's policies? Then tell me how this country looked at the end of Bush's term and tell me how you think it would have been any different if Romney would have won?

You seem to think I was speaking directly to you.

OBAMA was re-elected because of obama care and that means more taxes. Jobs are going to be lost because of those taxes. Unemployment will rise and OBAMA isn't going to do anything about it because he is a communist :(

If you can incorrectly 'name-call' Obama a "communist", can others correctly identify you as an ignorant religious redneck?
-
Unemployment will rise and OBAMA isn't going to do anything about it because he is a communist
You obviously have no clue of what a communist is or what Obama is doing about unemployment.

I know exactly what a Communist is, and Obama is one. A few of his plans that he promoted during his first campaign, and/ or during his second:
Citizen army
redistribution of wealth
youth corps
gun control
giving the federal governemnt control over all resources during and "emergency"
I have studied a lot of Communist take-overs of various countries, and they all did these same things (not to mention these things were expounded by Karl Marx himself). Plus he plainly said he was going to be a dictator, by ruling by executive order instead of the constitutional way of going through Congress.
As far as unemployment, already a lot of businesses have said they will cut jobs when the full Obamacare kicks in. and a lot more will change all their employees into part timeers with no benefits, to avoind the high insurance costs.

For one thing, I don't have a party, for another thing, who was doing the "investigating?" The elections are obviously rigged when the government imports hundreds of thousands of people into a state (Virginia), who then have all the say in who gets elected, rather than the vast majority of the rest of the state. I'm talking about the Senate election especially. (the two counties closest to D.C. account for 60 percent of the vote). Why should a couple of counties dictate who "represents" the whole state? Same thing here in upstate NY. We pretty much have no say, and all our politics are dictated by NYC.

Yes southernhorizons, I agree with you. Obama is about redistribution, taking from the rich and giving to the poor. That means he is all about Higher Taxes, and more spending. I hope the house put him in a corner, so that he will balance the budget finaly, so we do not go over the Financial clif as they would say.

Except that he will just act without Congress, by executive order. We will definitely go over the financial cliff, unfortunately.

Although there are other issues involved, I believe the only people in danger of going "over the cliff" are the wealthy whose tax cuts are scheduled to end on Dec. 31, 2012. They have been enjoying the very unfair tax cut they lobbied for and won under the Bush Administration. Business owners of businesses that make 250,000.00 or less will not be affected because they are the only ones who are developing jobs in the U S anyway. Let them go over the cliff - they all have financial cushions to catch them. That will be the only way they will be made to pay their fair share of taxes, ever.

The rich will never go over the cliff, since they have all the politicians in their back pockets. Small business owners will be hurt the most by Obamacare, so yes, they will be affected. And whether or not the big businesses are really "hurt," if anythign cuts into their profits, like higher insurance costs, they will have no qualms about moving overseas and taking the jobs with them. So in the end, the ones that will be hurt the most are middle class working Americans.

Big business, all but for their physical buildings, moved overseas years ago. That's where all their jobs are now being created so that has already happened. Before all the greed that has run rampant due to deregulation, business supplied health and life insurance coverage to all of their workers in the form of benefit packages. Maybe if Obama is able to reinstall some of those regulations lifted mostly by Republican policies of the past, this will bring down the cost of insurance and health care so that small and medium companies can again afford to insure their workers. This would do a lot to bring back those things that were the backbone of the Middle Class.

Yes, everyone should bow down to the big corporations because they could go away and take their toys with them. People used to have a spine and stand up against these people with the help of unions, and everyone was doing much better than we are today. But keep allowing them to buy our politicians, that will certainly make things much better.

I could not have said it better. You just described, in a nutshell, the whole premise of Mitt Romney, the Republican party, and their vision for america. Corporate Rule!
-
Romney did not put those loophole into the irs. Congress did, too take care of them selves. If i had the kind of money i would be looking for loopholes also. If congrees can do it so can the rest of the USA. And guess what they will not be using the Obamacare insurance either. What makes them think they are better then the rest of us. It is because the public let them get by with it. If your not a crook when you first go into congrss most will turn around and be one. It sucks. And in the long run the working class pays for most of it.

I like how all these republicans are starting to call this system rigged when the same system allowed bush to be voted in even though he received less overall votes. Not that I really care, I consider the two parties to be near carbon copies of one another.
I voted for Gary Johnson and I usually vote libertarian (unless someone in another party happens to have libertarian ideals). So I guess I'm just used to the people I choose losing all the time.
-
The libertarian party is the direction the republicans should be heading. Fiscal conservatism, increasing freedoms, while dropping the religious right's asinine views on social issues. I think there's many "independents" in the country that would really identify with their platform.
