For all of those not participating in Black Friday - take solace in knowing you are participating in Buy Nothing Day - in an effort to cancel out those who are doing all the buying! Woo hoo!
-
good point. ya dont have to buy. day after thanksgiving is another day of rest.
-
I have to buy some basics like milk, friut but thats it.folks should remember you can go broke trying to save money.
-
Definitely sleep in day for me today.
-
Nope, I didn't buy anything either. I just wanted out of there when I got off.
-
This is a no buying day for me also, lol. I did not do black friday this year
-
Yeah, I am tired of the hype, so I stay home. I have actually found deals well after Black Friday anyway. So good luck to those that don't mind the crowds and sometimes madness.
-
Save all your money for after Christmas. Do not buy anything today! Do not buy anything you do not want or need.
-
Heh, awesome. I'm part of something by not being part of something. Kinda weird.
Sadly, I was hoping to buy a few things if the price went down, but it didn't. Still need to get them anyway but I guess I won't get that deal I was hoping for.

Sounds great. I did not buy anything on Friday not even online. :peace:

I participate in Non Buying every year.
There is no sale good enough to make me fight the crazy crowds.
-
I think that one would have to be insane to partake in the craziness surrounding Black Friday. You wouldn't catch me within five miles of a shopping center. Seriously, people camping out in the cold to save a few hundred dollars and material junk that they will fill a land dump with in five years? I took my daughter to a movie, did a lot of housework, took the dogs for a nice long walk and relaxed. No pushing, shoving and grabbing items that have been touched (and probably damaged) by every disease filled, money grubbing, inconsiderate person put there. I am putting alot of thought into the gifts that I purchase and won't be steered by the stores.
-
Buying doesn't bother me - what bothers me is the rampant commercialism and advertising, all based on a holiday which has nothing to do with it.
-
I bought a few things online but I never go out when I know there are crazy crowds. I don't want any deal enough to deal with that.
-
Yeah, if you watched the news you would see the crazies out there for Black Friday, and how insane the people get. I wonder how many got injured? Now they have come up with Cyber Monday. Really, do you really save?
-
That was me. I was at work all day, so no buying for me. I am a pretty avid Cyber Monday buyer though... I get good deals and don't have to deal with the public. Sounds like a win-win to me :D

I didn't even buy anything for Black Friday either. It seemed as if people were going crazy and lining up really early for deals that aren't even dirt cheap. It seemed as if the prices of things were on par with the sales from Christmas. I think people might as well wait because Christmas sales are done in multiple days and not just one.
