ughh no comment this could get ugly

Taxpayers are forced to pay for a lot of things they don't agree with. Get over it!
Abortion is not murder, unless you consider scratching your nose or having a period or ejaculation to be murder as well. You really need to educate yourself on this matter.
-
Why are you posting this again?
-
I think you better check your facts again on tax dollars funding abortions. Do you think abortions are murder if the pregnancy puts the baby and mother in danger?. In my case I would have an abortion because I know a pregnancy will kill me and I don't want my husband to have to raise that child alone.

Truthfully, when a woman (or girl) uses abortion as her choice of "contraception," there's something wrong with her. With all kinds of contraceptives available today, there's no reason on earth why anyone would have an "unwanted" pregnancy. Yes, I acknowledge "accidents" happen but, hey, you wanted to get it on, YOU and your "babe" of choice can pay for your OWN abortion. Of course, there's always "adoption." Have you any idea how many couples want a baby and can't have one?
If you're spending $3,000 a year (like Sandra Fluke (L-O-f'kn-L!)) on contraceptives, your Pharmacist forgot to tell you that oral contraceptives cost around $12 a month - AND - if you're on Welfare, they cost you NOTHING. If you're the type of person who doesn't take charge of your own actions, perhaps you should keep your legs closed and go read a book instead.

That's why it is none of your business what others do with their body and what they doing with what is between their legs. Be happy your taking charge of your actions. How about you go read a book about Minding my own business. Have a nice day!

Funny thing is that people keep saying that using my money. They are not using your money. Do you pay for their medical insurance from they job. Now if you talking about welfare people then I'm still wondering what makes you think its your money. When you pay taxes your funding a system that even you will be using others money for when you need it. How would you like it if someone was to tell you, you can not have a certain surgery cause they don't want you spending they money on it. most people dont use it as a form of contrception for most people I know who had one it was for medical or rape in that case contricptions arent an option.and kids are young and dumb and do not know any better you would be surprised how many kids dont know about sex and proctection and they are from all walks of life from people on welfare to middle class

So when you say you don't want your money paying for abortions - for any reason, does that mean you are okay with your money paying for the psychiatric care for the poor girl who was raped and forced to carry the unwanted pregnancy to term? Possibly destroying her body in the process as well as her mind? Are you okay with your money going to raise that child who will possibly end up in foster care and spend their life in the system on welfare? So you'd rather your money go to pay for raising the kid - some say it costs $250,000 to raise a child, than to the possibly life saving procedure that will allow that poor girl to go on with her life and put the tragic event behind her - which costs what? $500.00. That's a good allocation of funds ::)

If I had a choice, I would not be paying taxes to fund an unconstitutional system, that takes money form some people to give it to other people. The job of government is not to be a welfare agency. Any religious beliefs aside, I don't want to pay higher and higher taxes to pay for other people's uncontrolled pleasures. If they can't pay, they shouldn't play; its as simple as that! The majority of abortions are not done because of life threatening situations; they are done because the two losers don't feel like supporting the product of their lusts. So it shouldn't be any taxpayer's responsibility to pay for the lack of responsibility of others. As far as the surgery, I would not expect anyone else to pay for it, so no I wouldn't mind it at all if they told me I couldn't have it. That's the trouble with people today, they are always looking for someone else to pay for them. How about letting Americans keep their own money so that they can help themselves? If I want to help someone else, that should be my choice, and I would only choose necessary things, not unnecessary stuff like abortions. I shouldn't be forced to foot the bill for other people's bad lifestyle choices.

I would not get an abortion if faced with an unplanned pregnancy, but having said that, I don't judge those who choose to have an abortion. I'd rather they have the abortion and not bring another child that may end up on welfare and/or jail. The earth is already at maximum capacity and there will be no resources available by the time we are in the year 2050. If China and India consumed electricity, food, and various other resources the way Americans do, we will see a depletion of resources at an alarming rate. There are many ways to prevent pregnancy so it really is incomprehensible people still have unplanned pregnancies. It is utter irresponsibility to not take precautionary steps. I believe in the morning after pill and I hope the government provides it to women who cannot afford it because it's cheaper than supporting another human being. In response to the main topic of this post, my answer is the tax dollars that pay for the abortion are minimal compared to the tax dollars that will have to be used to support a child and the future children that child produces when it grows up and so forth and so on. People do foolish things. I have a vision that will never come to pass about a society in which the government requires a license to have sex in the same way you need one to drive. If you are caught, you pay the consequence (jail time and/or fine). Two types of licenses would be available one to have sex to procreate and another for sex for enjoyment. You can apply for one of the licenses at age 18. Sex under 18 would be illegal. Sex to procreate license would require a person to pass rigid psychological, financial, and physical evaluations to ensure they are fit to parent. If they fail, automatic sterilization if they want to have the sex for enjoyment license. Rapists and child molesters would get automatic death sentences if there is irrefutable evidence of the crimes (excessive victims with matching DNA evidence, video...etc) Those with just one conviction get life without the possibility of parole. In order to cut down costs, arrangements would be made with another country that would house them for a cheaper rate. Mexico comes to mind as a way to outsource correctional facilities. Victims of rape would be given a choice to either have an abortion or the state would support the child and the child's future education. Sterilizing those who have no business having children would reduce government costs and allow the state to subsidize the children conceived through rape. Victims of rape should never be denied the right to abort because they did not ask for that to happen to them. This population control through sterilization won't come to pass until we reach a critical level in population, then the government will have no choice.

It's a woman's right to choose. I also don't think you should put petitions on here. Just my opinion. :peace:

Population control is not at all compatible with a free country. You might want to consider moving to China or some other country that does that. As for an abortion being cheaper than supporting the kid for life afterwards, we shouldn't be supporting them through welfare either. Like I said, nowhere in the constitution is it stated that the role of government is to be a welfare agency. Taxing people to give that money to other people is legalized theft. If people can't afford to have kids, they should be doing something more constructive than sleeping together, like getting a job. I shouldn't have to curb my pleasures and slave away to support the consequences of other people's pleasures. I work hard for my living, and I don't relish having the government steal my hard-earned money that I worked for.

::)
As far as I've ever heard, abortions are paid for by the person getting them. Unless medically necessary, I don't think they ever would be covered by insurance.
-
when you decide to have a baby its your responsibility nomone will care s to what he/she is eating wearing or leaving. most pro- life just talk but they are never there to help those that strugle to support their family after the decision to have the kids. you have to start first with those that can't afford to support the family. education helps a big time. not just talk and match for life. talk and match for survival.

You know, if all this country had was a good health care system and educational system to inform people of how their bodies work then abortion, orphanages, child psychologists, cpa, all of this stuff wouldn't be needed. If women were actually allowed to make choices on whether or not they wanted a baby and had access to prevention (let's face it condoms aren't 100% fool proof for anyone) and weren't made to feel like dirty sluts because they are on the pill or like freaks of nature because they don't want a baby then maybe this wouldn't be needed. Do you have a petition for womens rights to reproductive health care that I could sign? I can get behind that with a clear conscience.
I'm not for abortion because I don't think it should be used as a form of contraception. I think it's really an awful choice when there are better alternatives. But if a woman does have something happen, and really doesn't want a baby then she should be able to choose what she wants to do without being judged and making a hard decision for her even harder.
-
Could we instead sign a petition banning the government from using tax payer money to murder living, breathing, fully-functioning human beings (both adults and children, soldiers and pedestrians alike)? Would that be at all possible? A huge portion of our taxes goes to war.
You're worried about babies that haven't even been born yet, while we are still killing living individuals and groups of people? Haven't you ever herd of the word prioritize.

It doesn't matter if you think it is "compatible" with a free country. Life is going to get very, very miserable for us all the more the world's population spirals out of control. The earth isn't this land of milk and honey with everlasting resources, and it is incredibly glib of you to act otherwise. Also, get your facts straight about China: only 35 percent of the population is subject to the policy you speak of, and couples CAN have more than one child if they pay for it. Why in the world would you think it's a bad idea to have population control on a country that has over a billion people?!
nowhere in the constitution is it stated that the role of government is to be a welfare agency. Taxing people to give that money to other people is legalized theft.
I agree with you somewhat there. I don't like how so much money goes to deadbeats that exploit the system. However, some form of these programs DOES need to exist; lots of good people fall on hard times and deserve temporary help.
If people can't afford to have kids, they should be doing something more constructive than sleeping together, like getting a job.
That's a pipe dream, as you eventually learn that so many humans are stupider than you can even conceive. At least with abortion, you're preventing a child being raised by an unfit parent and possibly turning into another burden on society when he or she grows up.

I haven't encountered "feeling like a dirty s l u t" all the years I was on the Pill, but I have been made to feel like a "freak of nature" for not wanting kids. I even had a doctor once ask if she could write me a prescription for prenatal vitamins...when I was there to REFILL my birth control prescription! I told her I didn't want kids, and she "knowingly" replied, "Oh, you will." Uggggggggghhhhh
I wanted to say, "B----, no I won't! And even if I did hit my head and have a sudden personality change causing me to want kids someday, it's still very rude of you to be all self righteous and assume that I'll follow the status quo. You don't know me at all!"
I've also had numerous doctors try to talk me out of getting an IUD. Using scare tactics and crap, like "If you WERE to get pregnant, it would be in your tubes and the we'd have to operate" or "It'll really, really hurt to insert and probably pierce your uterus since you've never had a mini-me come out of your hoo-ha."

Oh man that is wrong on so many levels. Here you are trying to prevent something you KNOW you don't want and are being talked out of it by people who 'think' you'll change your mind. "You don't know me." Exactly. I'd like to have a Dr. talk to me like that, I won't hold back. And as far as the "You'll change your mind," bit, I thought maybe as I got older I would. Here I am 15 days from being 31 and I still have yet to hear the proverbial 'biological clock' tick once. When exactly was I going to change my mind again?

I don't think I would want to carry a child for 9 months and then give it up. That's a lot of work and wear and tear on your body for something you don't even want in the first place. I agree, it's definitely a better option than abortion, but that's just my preference really.

Why in the world would you want to live in a dictatorship where the government decides who gets to live? My facts are straight about China: it is a Communist country, and they do practice population control. I never said 100% of the population there did. Don't worry, Obama believes in population control, and his "science czar" is a prominent eugenicist, who has very similar plans to those of Hitler. So you'll be getting all the population control that you want, soon.

Sorry I havent rechecked this post. I usually just like to give the information I get in my emails from the sites I support. For those who say abortion is not murder you are wrong. It has been proven that an unborn child at any stage feels pain and that during most abortions the head is actually removed from the body. A human living being is killed. There is no way to excuse murder. I had a child named Ruby out of a bad situation is all I will say and I kept her and she is a tremendious blessing in my life. When I see her I do not see her biological dad. Instead I see her as the child of myself and my husband. In the cuase of the life of the mother I still say no. People know what they are doing when a child is conceived. There are no accidents when it comes to that. There is no excuse. I know a lot of people do abortions for different reasons and I do not parade around trying to hurt their feelings, but they have commited a horrible act. I choose to work with women in our society who have had abortions or are considering them to let them see what is actually happening. Go to youtube and watch videos of live abortions and you will see it for yourself. A heartbeat is present in the child and their is brain activity. All components of life exist. Causing that life to cease is murder. I do thank God that the spirit of these children go to Him. Using federal tax dollars is telling children its ok. Truth is not the majority of public opinion, but the difference between right and wrong.

My brother is a homosexual. I told him it was wrong, but that he has my shoulder to cry on whenever he needs it. We have a great relationship. What he does affects himself. He is doing this to his own life only. When a person has an abortion they are murdering another person. Its not their body. Its the life of another individual inside of them.

I was going to mention that I did eventually get an IUD, but I thought that might be TMI. lol Now I don't have to worry about birth control for a full five years, and it's great! I wanted the 10 year one so I would only have to get it replaced one more time before my egg factory shut down, but they didn't have that one available. ;) :P
My maternal instinct is for cute puppies, not expensive, crying, freedom sucking children. Which I'm sure makes me sound like a terrible person to some, but I really don't mean it as harsh as it sounds. The cost-benefit analysis of raising kids just isn't worth it to me. They have far more cons than pros.

Why in the world would you want to live in a dictatorship where the government decides who gets to live?
That's a very dramatic and exaggerated way to put it. Having regulations on birth rates is a GOOD and NECESSARY thing if it means preventing people from starving, dying due to lack of fresh water, etc. It also doesn't mean everyone is only allowed X number of kids and that's it; not all women want/can have kids, which frees up a "slot" for someone who would like to have more than the replacement rate.
Don't worry, Obama believes in population control, and his "science czar" is a prominent eugenicist, who has very similar plans to those of Hitler. So you'll be getting all the population control that you want, soon.
:confused1: You lose all credibility when you make conspiracy theorist claims such as this.

this should be a womans choice not a law to be inforced just because you could not have it done doesnt make it wrong for some one else why does no one want anyone to have freedom of choice you do whats best for you and leave this alone and no i personally do not believe in abortion but i do believe in freedom of choice

This is ignoring the fact that the population rate has been decreasing naturally on its own. As resources become scarce, fewer people choose to have children. There's also absolutely no way any government can know what resourcing are available for everyone, everywhere, at all times. Its a very complex, and intricate subject. The government will make mistakes if it attempts to control the population. Not only is there no way to measure what resources are available, not only its it difficult to measure exactly how many babies are actually born in any given hour, its also difficult to see the results of such population control. How would we know it was working?
To give the government power to tell people that they cannot have children is dangerous. The government can and will abuse this power like they do with others. If we really want to make sure the population self-regulates itself, lets give the government less power and lets stop supporting a welfare system that rewards people for having children.

My tax money pays a lot more than an abortion. Let the person leave and make their own decisions, the abortion decision should be between the woman, her doctor, her conscious and their God, everybody should make the decision for herself. If planned families cannot have contraceptives and/or abortions when they are need it then this world is really sick. And if you do not want to pay for a woman choice and we should not pay either for *bleep*/Cialis for men, that is what I think

How is it a "conspiracy theory" when they admit it themselves?

However, your view on the current administration and your comparison to Nationalsozialismus has no basis on any evidence. The fact is, the current administration could very well handle population control with careful planning and diligence. Its the fact that these powers could later be abused by someone is what worries me.
My stance that the government should not be allowed to control the population didn't particularly originate from the premise that the government is necessarily evil, but that they are simply incompetent.

Abortion is not what anyone wants to do. It is a surgery with all the risks of surgery, it is a pregnancy that is ended, these women know that they are ending a chance at having a child. But I have known many MANY women in this life who have abortions personally (over 20). I have considered abortion for myself and am greatful that I had the option legally. They also know that for many GOOD reason they decide not to continue the pregnancy, some have severe health problems, some have no family or fathers support, some are very young, some were raped, they all decided on abortion because it was what was right for them. They couldn't raise the child and they couldn't give it away always wondering for their whole life if that child was going to be hurt, abused, mistreated, neglected. We don't live in a very child friendly world, too many bad things happen these days. It is the woman's body that has to go thru the painful process of pregnancy and birth. Being a woman that went thru the process of being pregnant and alone and a single mom from the time I was 6 weeks pregnant till my son was a year old, I know just how painful it is to have a baby alone-it is something I would never wish on anyone. It is every woman's right to decide and choose for herself whether or not to keep a pregnancy, it is her uterus, her body, her life. Abortion is a woman's very personal choice, it needs to stay personal. Unless you are the woman having the abortion, it is not for you to prevent or decide upon, it is her personal choice. Same for all her other reproductive rights to good healthcare, birth control, sterilization. It is NOT a political topic, it is a personal decision between a woman and her doctor about what goes on INSIDE HER BODY

If it is so personal, then it is her personal responsibility to pay for it. We shouldn't have to pay for her personal choice that is not our business.
