From 12-16 teams....thoughts?
-
I think it'd be unnecessary. I mean, aren't the point of playoffs to have a battle of the best? Why let in even more mediocre teams in?
-
my opinion on NFL Postseason expansion to allow 16 teams in is a bad idea, it will cause the whole reagular Nfl season to become almost meaningless
-
Maybe I haven't been following things enough, but I have not heard which cities they are planning to expand to. Aren't we nearly out of major cities? I guess there's Honolulu and Anchorage. Or maybe they're thinking international like London, Mexico City or Tokyo. And no, I don't think we need any more teams.

Stay with current format, no need to water down the playoffs. But it is all about money, owners would probably
love it!

Not cities, playoffs. However, I do think Oklahoma City, Toronto, and LA could be interesting destinations for teams whether relocation or expansion.
I don't think the playoffs should be expanded.

Terrible idea - I like the fact that good teams get byes.

No more football teams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If anything get rid of the ones who can't play!

I'd have to agree Oklahoma City would be a good idea for a new or relocated team. Their NBA team has done well and I know a lot of people who have traveled to watch, so it's probably good for the economy there. I'm from West Texas, so I'd like to have somewhere close to watch a game.

I prefer the current format, there is no need to expand the postseason. That would reduce the competitive nature of the game by allowing bad teams go against very good teams and the fun is taken out of it. There wouldn't be as many meaningful games in wildcard games or first round games. There would be many blowouts and lopsided games. Stay with the current format, do not change anything about the postseason.
Having said that, it would be nice to have new teams or relocate some, to cities where football would mean a lot and to bring some benefit to those cities, but that has nothing to do with the postseason, they can very well add teams to divisions and all of them they would still have to fight to win the division and/or a wildcard spot. Los Angeles would be a good city for a team, however they need a stadium first.

I don't really have any comments on this I just watch and root for my team.
-
when they do that 1 team will fail and go through bankruptcy
-
Keep it as is...
-
The only plus is seeing a few teams play that do not meet in the regular season after that seems like it would be a mess
-
enough teams now we don't need more teams in playoffs.
-
they all ready voted to make the regular season longer. no reason to make the post season longer.

They never voted to lengthen the season. It's still 16 games. No need to make the post season longer regardless.

Actually it doesn't bother me much since I'm used to seeing 16 teams in the NBA playoffs. I know that is a different situation, but I'm willing to take a wait and see attitude. It might work and it might not. However I am in agreement with others that it is likely to gain more money for the NFL.
