Title: Good ideas that I learned here
Post by: lbeery on February 06, 2013, 06:33:47 am
I recently viewed a post started by someone seeking advice about and idea for a job that chided them for thinking this was an employment service.  That got me thinking about how we find the answers to our questions and learn from others.  So, please post about something you learned from reading the Forum posts or something that made you see something differently or just made you feel better.

I learned that putting flour on a kitchen burn (like from touching a hot pan or something) really takes the burn away and sometimes there isn't even a blister.  My husband thought I was crazy when I shoved his burnt fingers into the flour bin when he accidently laid his hand on the hot stovetop. He was amazed! Now we keep a canister of flour in the frigde for kitchen accidents.

Never heard of the flour trick! As I often burn my hands in the oven, this is a great suggestion for people like me. Thanks!

I have learned a lot here in the FusionCash forum, everything from cooking ideas to fitness ideas. But the thing I am most happy about is learning how to make a little money on line and then how to turn that into bigger money on line. And seeing models for big money, like the model woodrowood12 uses to have made almost $50k here on FusionCash.

Thanks for the flour trick.  Never heard of it, but will keep it in mind.  Fusion cash gave me the option to send money by western union without ever leaving my house and get paid for doing it also.  I really liked that tip.

I am definately going to try this with the flour.  It seems I am always burning myself and then running for the faucet to run cold water on it.  Helps for a little while.  Thanks for sharing!

I've got two favorite things that I learned here.  There was a thread here that taught up about all kinds of cool and unusual creatures.  :fish:  I've also learned about other trusted sites to make money on.

Lol not  MODEL job, but a model for making money on sites like FusionCash. Lots to learn here to get your on line money making going strong. And you can start for free if you have a computer. Got my first cashout just coming on and doing free offers, later I did make some purchases but stuff I was going to buy anyway and got money back or a discount.

I always keep flour in the kitchen, but I have never used it for burns. Thanks very much for your info. I love hearing things like this. I hate burns and since I cook a lot this will help me.

Thinks for the trick about the flour.  I usually keep baking soda around the stove to put out out fires  that flame up from grease spills. :icon_rr:

Wow I did not know that about Flour.  I know in the old days they say put butter on the burns but I learned later that you NEVER should do that.  The butter actually just make the burn worse like cooking yourself.  If you can't run luke-warm water over the burn I know now to try flour.

Also thanks about the idea for keep baking soda around for grease fires.  I had a bad kitchen fire a couple of years ago.  If only I knew then to do this it would have saved my kitchen.  :BangHead:  :angry7:  :BangHead:   ;D

that is great information to know but some would indicate that it might have been better to post in the open discussion thread instead. no biggie tough, the suggestions I think were intended to be as to things which relate to FC, ideas for new activities or improvements etc.   I also learned about the butter matter on burns when a friends mother had burned herself. Another mother put butter on it right away and because it contains salt most of the time that actually caused more pain. OUCH

Here is another household tip - put orange peels on the dirt in your houseplants to keep you cats from digging or chewing on them.

Cat's don't like citrus.  The aroma is so strong it hurts their noses.

I never heard of that before, but I'm optimistic. should I get a burn I'll definitely give it a try.

Wow thanks for that flour tip. I am often burning myself while either cooking bacon or frying something and the grease tends to pop while I have my hand nearby and the first thing I do is run for the cold water. I never would have thought of that idea even though I do recall that you can use it to put out a kitchen fire.

I learned that you can't work on FusionCash (or any other paid to click website) while you are angry or frustrated. Trying to work when you really don't want to gets you nowhere fast and it's far more of a hassle than you reap from it.

I learned that there are many different opinions and ideas expressed in the forum. I also learned that sometimes people are intolerant of ideas expressed by others. The intelligent thing to do would be turn away from what they don't beleive, and find a discussion they can relate to and join in that. But instead they disrupt the ongoing discussion amongst like minded people with condescending remarks, and put downs. If you want an example of that do a search for the word "prayer" and one main offender will stand out. I am sure there are more topics where this occurs, but this is the one topic that repeats itself again and again. So be warned! If you ever discuss prayer on here or ask for prayers for someone you love, be prepared to be villified for it. I'm just sayin.

I can really agree with you on that, because if there is a topic that is not your cup of "TEA" just do not respond.  If you are going to then make sure you advice is not one-sided and is in the good deed of others reading the post.  "Silence is Golden"; it never fells!! :notworthy:

there is something in this world called....OPINION!!!  we all have them, and they are all different.  and it is a free country to express them.  but for some reason on fusioncash, there are people who don't seem to want us to express our opinions.  i usually ignore these crazy people who act insane over comments we make, like when we tell others on here that we will pray for their family member to get well fast, ect.  so the good idea that i have learned on here, is how to really ignore people on fusioncash that blow up when we express our OPINION!!   :peace:

Absolutely I have learned to be patient, come back often and just keep at it. I have also learned that for the most part many of the members are more than willing to help each other out if they know the answers or procedures which is a great help every time there is a change. Especially for those of us who a bit more techno challenged. It is also helpful that people are willing to share their experiences throughout the day so you can learn of what offers are working or if there is a general issue with the videos, etc. It is helpful to keep the rest from wasting their time or at least to be prepared for issues to arise. So- over all what I have learned is that I enjoy this site, the opportunity to earn some mad money and pleasure of interacting with many nice people.

What I have learned here is:

1)  That this is a great site with awesome senior members who will come into the forums and sound off as to where the great offers are or if something new is found, and I love that!  I try to, too.

And,

2)  I love reading forum posts about different areas of the country.  Those are my favorites to read, and it seems that people are always talking about what's going on in their little part of the world!

Wow I am amazed. I will start by saying now I too have learned that a kitchen burn like on the stove can be healed with simple flour. I am excited ti know this and will share it for sure. Every day that I come on the forum I learn something new. I hear about all the different things that are on peoples minds. I hear about heartache, money troubles, complaints and more. I learned mostly that with everything you need to have patience. You need patience to get through the day. It is the best thing to cure a disease by having patience and so much more. I have learned and tried many cooking recipes on here too. I can go on with how much I learned from this forum but I could never pick a favorite, I am just happy that I came across the site and to be a part of this group is great!

I also learn things on the forum, but mostly I like reading what other people say about things. I did the window blind washing that someone had put on, to take blinds (the plastic ones) and lay them down like I laid mine down on my back porch and took water and soap and washed them with a mop, then turned them over and did the same treatment and then rinsed..  They came out pretty darn clean, I had to do a few spots that I missed. Would you believe I used to take a cleaner and clean one strip at a time?  That was very time consuming!

I learnt a few things here on FusionCash, but there's one thing that always make me happy and excited,
And that's when someone gets paid or cashout, especially newbies!
I find they're responses to be motivating, reminding me of when I first started.

Never knew about using flour to heal kitchen burns.  I have always applied ice to a simple burn to immediately relieve pain and prevent blistering.  also if the burn is allowed to heal normally the darkened skin will just peel off eventually and wont leave a scar.
