For me I hate when people stare. It drives me crazy, I rather you say what's on your mind then to just stare. I also get annoyed when people hold loud conversations, cough without covering their mouth etc..

I REALLY hate that snorking sound people make...you know, like when they don't have a kleenex and snork and then what? Where does that go??? The whole thing grosses me out!!!

When I go to the grocery store's and i see a cart on a parking lot that really annoy's me.

When parents let their kids cough without covering their mouths. I mean, teach them some manners already! I know kids are young and forgetful, but they ARE teachable! i have kids and they cough and it goes into their elbows, not into the air.

It annoy me when you trying to get a parking lot and you drive behind a car and people try to take their "sweet time" driving of that parking lot.

Spit or throw up on sidewalks when I am wearing sandals. These people are very inconsiderate of others.

People annoy me LOL not really but hey I love when people use manner's you like not letting an older woman open the door for a younger gentalman. Saying excuse me when they bumb you. and so on and so on.

Talking loudly on their cell phones, or texting when having dinner with us. I usually ask the kids to put up their phones at least until after dinner. Sometimes the parents get upset at me. But hey it is my house. Or letting their rug rats go crazy in a restaurant. or grocery store.

I hate grocery shopping when you go down an isle and a person leaves there cart right in the middle of the isle so you cant get by on either side!

I work at a Walgreens and I HATE when people don't address you and walk right in the door and say what they want like Kleenex, or Tampons. Every time they do that I just want to say "yeah what about them" lol or when they snap their fingers or point at you.

Eat things from the grocery store and do not pay for it. Saying something to your child and when you look up the next person in line is staring at you, like darn I thought I was talking low enough. Then they smile like it is okay for them to be eaves dropping. Coughing without covering they mouth which is why I try to stand a distance from people and when in line I try to make sure not to get to close to people. In line at grocery store and the person behind you stands to close to you, I put my basket behind me while putting grocery on the conveyor. Whites who grab their purse when you walk by like your gonna rob them, so I just grab my purse also. Silly folks.

Run over you with their grocery cart, people are so rude in stores anymore, especially thrift stores and walmart. it makes me want to quit shopping at places, I have to stop and say Excuse You and then I still don't think they get it. Not Nice :dontknow:

I get irked when people stand around gawking at people like they are in a spectator's sport. I think that people could find something better to do with their time. People laugh at anything but I do not find everything is funny. Have some sympathy for God's sake!!! :)

Being a private person, I find it annoying when somebody is talking loud on their cell phone in public.

Let's see:
When people crowd you. Always makes me uncomfortable.
When people block the aisles or don't try to move when they see you coming.
When you hold the door for someone and they say nothing.
When people leave their carts randomly in the lot.

Another one I thought of is when I'm out driving somewhere, and someone just has to cut me off and then they go slow? I mean, what was their hurry to begin with?? They could have waited for me to go by, especially when there was no one in back of me.

Oh this is a really good topic, very interesting. Although I could go on and on with all of the pet peeves I have that people do I will limit my answer. Besides the staring thing as I just usually stare back, lol. I can't stand it when someone throws a piece of garbage on the floor or their gum when just a few feet away there's a garbage can. Just as I see so many people throw their butts on the ground when they could walk the 3 steps to the ashtray that is provided. It really is lazy, inconsiderate and it does really bother me. Everyone should care enough about the planet they live on to pick up after themselves but they don't!

When there is a long line and some idiot decides its a good time to use all there spare change when they easily have bills available and this is the time to get rid of all their spare pennies !!!

talking loudly, texting/talking while driving or walking and not paying attention to surroundings. Smacking, slurping coffee, soup, etc. allowing their kids to act up. throwing trash on the ground.

I'm annoyed when I'm out in public and I experience people making their own rules so they won't have to wait in line, hold their place in line, etc. It's people thinking that they're better than everyone else so they're entitled to special treatment.
I'd like to see them have enough respect for others that they cooperate with the rules that apply to EVERYONE.

One of my biggest pet annoyances is people who walk their dogs and have them go on the grass along sidewalks where people
are going to step onto when they get out of their cars if they park along the sidewalk. The problem is that they rarely every pick up the droppings
and then I or someone else while getting out of their car, especially at night cannot see the droppings and step right on the droppings.
This has happened me to a fair number of times and mostly at night. I also hate it when you are trying to park in a spot. You have your blinker on to announce that spot is yours
and someone going the wrong way beats you to that space backing up. I have many more, probably too many to discuss in one sitting.

My biggest gripe is cell phones in a public place, e.g. eating places. It seems as though they talk louder than normal and who wants to be in on a private conversation. I think it's disgusting! If you do get a phone call, get up and go somewhere else to talk, please!

How about when you are in a public place with your young children and an adult nearby is cussing while in conversation with others. I mean, really! Show some politeness for innocent ears!

i hate people that are rude. especially when i'm standing in line and someone cuts in front of you. also, when someone gets on my way when im shopping and trying to get something on one of the shelf.

Wow, so many to choose from. I could write a book. The 1052 things that people do that annoy me.
People who have a cause to promote and try to fit in to conversations.
For example. I was talking about my mom and the apple pie, she made for Thanksgiving. There was a group of us discussing our Thanksgiving on our break. When I finished one co-worker said, "Wow, imagine the germs that would create." I hope she washed the apples first and used a plastic cutting board." Before I had a chance to respond the other co-workers were not afraid to show there annoyance. It nearly came to blows as the first co-worker didn't have the good sense to drop the subject.
Another co-worker was quite upset he didn't get 40 hours. He did get the most hours out of all of us, but was heard saying "This another example of the black man being discriminated against. If I was white or Hispanic, I would get 40 hours." When people tried to point they were not black and got even less hours then he did, they were racists.
People who make blanket statements, especially when they have limited experience with the situation. "Our pastor ALWAYS speaks too long, he should used a timer." Have you been going to that church long? "Yes, about two weeks"
People who give an opinion or correct others when they conversation didn't include them and they have no idea what they are talking about. I was at Dennys the other day, and asked a waitress, if a new dish was spicy. she said "Yes, it was a spicy, but not too bad." A customer at the next booth corrected her and said it was extremely spicy. I asked him how did you have it prepared, (as there were different options you could have with it.) He replied, "I have never eaten it, but you can tell it is extremely spicy."

When I hold the door for people, they could at least say thank you, or nod their head.. When they don't say anything, I yell out you are welcome..
And the other is people merging into traffic, either slow down and let them in.. Not the proper thing to do.. or switch lanes, or speed up.. and if someone lets you change lanes in front of them, or lets you pull out in traffic.. wave thank you.. It's only polite..

About holding the door, I held the door open for a woman once who was coming in behind me, and she said, I can get the #$%&@! door myself, I am not handicapped. To which I replied, "well, at least not physically" People in her party laughed as well as other people nearby.

Wow. You guys are comprehensive. You covered some things I didn't even know annoyed me until I saw it listed. Other people's cell phone conversations, people who let their children text while completely ignoring the live people they are with and people who block parking lots while waiting for a parking spot just so they can walk 15 feet less - those are my biggies.

My biggest peeve is when someone has a cold or flu and instead of blowing their noses, they do that pig snorting thing in the back of their throats! It sounds disgusting and makes my hair stand on end. I once offered a woman some paper tissues to blow her nose instead of snorting.....she thanked me for the tissues, shoved it into her bra and carried on snorting!! :o

I'm sorry, but I've tried to straighten my walk all my adult life and it hasn't worked. It's not something that people choose to do, it's a medical condition. You're going to have to live with it, we do. :dontknow:

I agree this is a good topic as we all have much to say on it. I agree/share many of the things already mentioned. Here's a few of mine that haven't been covered.
Clerks who talk so loud they announce your personal business to everyone in the area. :BangHead:
People talking on their cell phones while driving. :'(
Clerks who ignore my words and my reusable tote bag and use a plastic bag anyway. Then they remove the plastic bag, crumple it up and throw it away so it can live forever in the landfill or ocean. (This even happens at stores who sell reusable bags.) :angry7:
Middle schoolers who haven't been taught to respect other adults besides their parents. :dontknow:
People who let their animals run loose around the neighborhood or worse yet abandon them when they move. :( :cat: :dog:

It truly annoys me when people are just plain rude for no reason, I mean I know we all have our bad days but come on being rude just for no reason is just so uncalled for. I just think its wrong and very immature the world is so simple minded it bugs me so!!

I hate when pedestrians and bicyclists don't look when crossing a street. I hate when people stand in the middle of an aisle or doorway talking and don't make room for other people to walk by. I hate when people drive in parking lots without following any of the rules when there are other cars and people trying to follow the traffic rules. I hate when cars don't use turn signals or come to almost a complete stop before turning right when the light is green.

I do this all the time when I am sick. I justify that I am not allowing my germs to get into the air or on my hands, body, products, etc.. so that other people don't get sick when I am in the store. Even using a tissue or sleeve lets the germs leave your body and can easily be transferred to whatever you touch if you aren't careful and wash up or use sanitizer every time. At home I am more than happy to use a tissue because I am not exposing other people other random people to my sickness.

I hate it when people let their kids scream and run in a public area. Then not tell them to sit down or stay by their side. I was working at K Mart one day and a little girl was able to run around the store by herself and she was not putting stuff away as she took them down. Then she comes up to me about ten minutes later and says she lost her mom. So I had to go to the front service desk and give out our special code for lost child. It's not a good idea to let little kids run around a store by themselves (and she was younger than five). Then when they're at the register. Some kids parents are letting their kids run behind our register and poke their heads in places their not supposed to. I keep telling them to go back by the parents. But their parents say to not to listen to me and it's okay :/ Kind of annoying.

I don't like litterbugs, but worse are the cellphone users. They are very rude! Especially in the grocery line checking out. It annoys me that they won't take time out to at least say something to the cashier during checkout. But they will go through the whole transaction without saying a word. That is just rude!

Cashiers who don't say a word to me when I'm checking out in their lane annoy me. A hello? A total? Anything?
When a line opens up and the person that is the very last one jumps over to take it. You are not the next in line-the person who has been waiting 10 minutes is.

There are so many things now that annoy me. I find that more and more people are just plain rude and they act like they are the only ones in the store. I would say that cellphone users can be the rudest. It seems to me like they are so "engrossed" in their calls that they have no regard for those around them. They will run over you if you are not careful which REALLY annoys me.

I have to agree cell phone users in public are the most rude and obnoxious out there I believe. Another thing, these little punk kids out there that get them an old fixer upper mustang, doesn't matter what kind of shape its in or what, they think because they have a mustang, they think they have the fastest thing on the road and the way they will rev up that engine going down the street.

I find excessive public displays of affection very inappropriate; it is disgusting to see couples all over each other and cheapens what otherwise would be a precious and private relationship.

I would have to agree with cell phones everywhere you look there is somebody doing something with them especially sitting in the drs. office and everyone in there is just doing something if not talking on em there playing a game or someone's phone is playing a song you just don't like or they have there phone in the pocket and everyone is looking except the person with the phone that is ringing very annoying :peace:

I HATE WHEN PEOPLE YELL ALL OF THE TIME WHEN THEY ARE ON THE FORUMS! (Or is it just that they don't understand that all CAPS is equated to yelling?)
I also hate this that people do that spread germs: coughing / sneezing without covering their mouth, leaving the bathroom without washing their hands, pick out food at a buffet with their bare hands without using utensils, etc. Probably one of the worst is when someone is using the toilet and they answer their cell and start talking... Not only is it disgusting to handle their phone without washing their hands (and since they'll be using their phone later in the day, they'll continue to spread those bathroom germs), but usually their conversation lasts longer than the time in the bathroom, so since their hands are full holding the phone, they'll leave the bathroom without washing their hands. Moreover, I think that's completely rude to the person on the other end of the phone; imagine talking to someone and hearing flushing toilets, farts and other bodily noises in the background. When people lament about dropping their phone in a toilet, I usually am thinking to myself "Karma can be a :female: :dog:!"
I just recently found a great comedy group on YouTube that has created a series of short videos called "The Bartender Hates You!". It's all about those annoying things that people do, but from a bartender's perspective. I also can't stand when people stare. My daughter was born with a club foot so she came home from the hospital with a cast on her foot. People use to look at me as if I had broke her leg. It would make me so mad. Another thing I can't stand is people spitting on the sidewalk. That is so nasty.

My jobs require alot of dealing with people in public, my top three are:
1.) Those that display a total lack of consideration for others.
2.) Those that feel it's ok to rub my arm, touch my shoulder, etc. or refer to me as "hon", "dear", "sweetheart", etc.
3.) The jerks that will say something that they thought was funny, didn't realize that they were the only ones in
in the room laughing and then they presume to tell me that I am mad at them because I didn't find them
humorous. Oftentimes stupid people are hilarious---just not when they are trying to be

I am not happy with: people that skip in line, get into the fifteen item express line with sixteen (or more) items, fail to use their directionals (when driving), people who talk on the phone (without a handset or blue tooth) while driving, people that spend time/doing their hair/makeup/nose-cleanout while driving, people that leave the toilet seat up, people that pee on the toilet seat, people that don't flush the toilet when they are done, people thta take more than two smoke breaks at work, people that ignore each other at the dinner table by playing with all of their electronic devices/gadgets, peole that talk on their cellular while they are at their kid's soccer/tennis/Lacrosse games(they are horrible parents), and people that scream at referees...to name a few.

I remember seeing one mother saying to her son after he used the word "damn", "Watch your <insert f-word> mouth." and tell her friend, he gets his mouth from his father , I wish he would never visit him. He's a bad influence, I swear.

I'm not a fond fan of people groping one another, such as touching each other inappropriately or even deep kissing (more than a peck)! I mean it really doesn't show that you love one another any more than just a small kiss, hand holding or even the arm hold. Sometimes I just wanna say get a room. My husband and I were always told we looked in love and didn't grope each other in public!

I hate when people toss their cigarette butts out the window in front of me....that is so disrespectful to the person behind them....I was driving to work one morning and someone tossed their lit cigarette butt out and it flew into my windshield off the side and past my window...what it my window was down....

When someone holds a door for me I always say thank you or if I'm driving & someone lets me out I always thank them.

It annoys me when we're out in public and people seem to impose themselves on our business and they 1. Don't know us and 2. Feel as though it's there place to give an opinion. The other day my daughter and I were in wal-mart. You know how kids hold the cuffs of there sleeves and clench them? My 14 year old was doing that and she was covering her mouth. I don't know if she was about to sneeze or what but this old man saw her and he was walking by us...he turned and said to her, "stop chewing your nails." My daughter and I looked at each other confused yet gingerly ignored the heavy set angry farmer and kept kept walking. Than as he passed us he says, "I guess I got so used to telling my daughter that it's habit." It was rude and offensive.

I don't like it when older kids run through the store. Usually playing and sometimes just in a hurry to get somewhere.
They knock into people and things. Somethimes two or three kids come flying by. They are old enough to know better
and should have been taught manners and proper inside behavior way before this age. :confused1:

I guess spitting is the worse for me! I think that is the rudeist thing that anyone can do! If you have to do that why can't they go to the bathroom. I believe it is very vulgar and unsanitary!

Riding on the bus everyday, lots of things annoy me. Mainly people who get on and are obviously intoxicated and generally acting stupid.

People who litter when the trash can is only a few feet away from them. Or every word that seems to come out of young teenagers mouths are curse words. And people who do not pick up after their dogs.

I hate it when people knock stuff down, break it, and when the grocery store staff come for cleaning up, they just disappear without even apologizing. The other day, this lady knocked a bottle of olive oil with her grocery cart, at Trader Joe's, and just kept moving as if it was none of her business. She did not care to say a sorry to the staff who came and cleaned all the broken glass pieces, and yes, she had two or three kids with her. What a good example she was setting to those kids! I can't stand these type of people.

This goes for both public and private.... I really can't stand it when people have a lack of manners. Coughing or sneezing without covering your mouth when you're around other people is just nasty. Also, if someone does cover their mouth and then they don't go wash their hands! Not washing your hands after using the restroom. Showing people what you're eating while it's in your mouth is repulsive, so is making noises while you're eating. Is it really that tough to keep your mouth closed while you're chewing? In public, I think it's really rude/inappropriate to stare and point at people or say something about them when they can hear you. If you have something to say about somebody keep it to yourselves if it isn't something nice. People that throw their cigarettes out the car window really make me angry, same with throwing trash out the window. Keep it in your car until you can put it in a trash bin, it won't kill you to hang on to it! :BangHead:

Its also annoying when people pop there gum REALLY loudly. My friend can do it really good and shell do it in the car with the windows up, its seriously ear splitting! I always tell her to cut it out :-X

People on the phone while doing other activities, not fully paying attention to the secondary activity because they are distracted by the phone. Specially when they are paying for something and they take forever because they have to ask several times, how much is it, look in their purse/wallet/pocket for the money or card while taking on the phone, just put the person on the other side on hold for a minute and finish the transaction, then pick up where you left off for goodness sake.

People who pull out in front of me. I had 2 close encounters yesterday. 2 different vehicles just pulled out in front of me and I had to slam on breaks. then they looked at me like i had done something wrong.

Or they are so busy on their phone they didn't even see that they cut you or someone else off. Talking and texting, I don't know what it is going to take to get people off the phones. ??? It is illegal, but they seem to think they can do it and it not impair their ability to drive, walk and be aware of their surroundings. :BangHead: :BangHead:

Oh man , I could write an essay about this lol. I hate when people walk too slow, take up the whole sidewalk, blow smoke in my face, don't curb their dog, cough or sneeze without covering their mouth/nose, have an argument loudly on their cellphone, parents that let their children run amok, etc.

Yes staring is annoying and another thing that bothers me is some parents let there kids loose in Wal-Mart so they can have some peice while shopping, but they don't consider what there kids are doing ot others who are shopping I never let my son run off while shopping always have stick to me like glue! I see kids runing throuh the store like a chichen with there heads cut off.
