Title: Make A Difference
Post by: nycgal85 on February 16, 2013, 01:02:06 pm
                            Just remember
No matter how small the deed,
it really does makes a difference.
                     Make a difference today.
Do something nice for someone else.
Even if it's just sending this card
to a friend and letting them know
Somebody cares about them.

i have been meaning to "pay it forward" lately.
i like the idea of paying for the person behind you
at the drive-thru... or leaving little goodies in places
with notes attached.

I agree, a simple smile or you just asking "how are you" could make a person's day.

I think it is funny to have to have a special day to do something nice.   But at least it does remind people to do something nice, and maybe they will think of it and do it more often just because of it.

I think being nice and considerate is something we should do everyday if we can.  I always do somethiing to help out when I can such as holding doors open, letting people get infront of me when they are trying to get out of a hard spot, I have done this for years.  Last year I was at Aldi's and I had a cat who was old and I didn't have enough money for his canned cat  food and the person behind me payed for it and I am telling you it wasn't just a couple cans it was a whole case of 24.  No one has ever done something like that for me I was so happy,

I picked up seven anniversary cards for my wife and two congratulations cards for my kids.  In this day and age of everything being computerized and electronic it is still nice to get something in the mail. I am going to put a few scratch off lottery tickets in my kid's cards and telling my wife that I love her never seems to be seen as over kill.  Iwanted to start getting written 'Thank You' cards out once per week because they always seem to make someone smile which I hope creates a butterfly effect of happiness spreading around the globe...is that too much to ask?  Messages like these should be seen by everyone so that maybe their next human interaction will be more thoughtful.

Kindness, whether it's something minor or major, really does make a difference.  It not only gives the recipient a wonderful feeling, it also gives the donor a great feeling.

You are right: Show them you care about them!
