I think the worse class I had to take was Chemistry. I so failed that classes likely it was in high school. My favorite class is my Anatomy class my professor is great and I like learning the anatomy. It is a very interesting class.What was the worse class or best class that you took?

Not to blame them, but your professor/ teacher really makes a difference on how well you do in a class, in my opinion. Some classes I KNOW I would've failed if I did not have an engaging teacher. Philosophy is an example. That class is boring as hell but my professor made it so interesting and let us debate and talk about current news..
But in general I think my worst class was Sociology, even though everyone I know says its so easy and they loved it. I just hated the 'chain of commodity' crap. I didnt get it.. or get the point lol. My best was probably English because im good at writing, reading and analyzing work (when i have to), and Psychology because im very interested in it and it amazes me. :)

I always hated Math. My own father was a Math major and I always did miserably with it.

My worst class had to be Political Science. The professor was horrible at lecturing and would go off on tangents. He was also biased, and if someone had a different viewpoint he would completely blow them off. It ruined the class for me >:(

there is one class that was an elective for me and i failed it. i could have dropped it when i had the chance but i didnt. i should have. it was all about research papers and crap like that. i dont understand how u do a research paper without coping someone else's writing? i tried and i still failed. what is the secret?

The worst two classes I ever took were Biology and Statistics. I took Biology 3 times because I had to pass it to graduate. It was horrible dissecting a frog 3 times but I finally passed it. Oh yeah - another one was Triganometry.

Building trades in 9th grade, It was soo miserable for me. And I'm not into power tools at all. :BangHead:

Worst class I ever took was Communications because the Prof preached about relationships rather than actually taught. He was one of the worst individuals I have ever met.
One of my favorite classes was Historical Geology. It was difficult, but the knowledge I acquired I will forever be thankful for.

I hated gym class cause we had to do things with boys and the gym teacher made you take showers(of course not with the boys lol) or they would mark your grade down.

The professor definitely matters. Depending on the professor is what makes the class fun or not. It does not matter what class your in if the professor is boring so is the subject. :o

My worst subject was biology in high school. We were separated into groups of 4 and had to dissect frogs. My classmate did it because I thought it was icky. My best subject is Accounting and anything that has to do with numbers period, like math. :thumbsup:

The obvious class that sticks in my mind I hated was my physics class in high school. I could have enjoyed this more, but my teacher was very uninspirational. I couldn't but help dose off in the class often. And I barely passed.

I did not like Physics and one of the reasons was the teacher. A good teacher really makes a difference in your perception of the subject.

My sophomore year in high school, I took an Art class. I really hated the way the teacher taught the subject. It was all about how things had to be so technically correct with the shading and the texturing and the color distribution. It was never about openly expressing yourself through art, which is how it should be viewed in my opinion.

I hated Chemistry also!!! I was never a fan of any kind of science classes even when I was much younger lol

Most of my classes were ok ... the one I disliked the most was "Health" class ... can we say boring! LOL

The worst class I took was a computer class i didn't last long at the time didn't have one a home and fell behind i can learn more online.

Worst class I had to take was Accounting 1 in college! Having to use all those graphs and spreadsheets and figuring everything right down to the cent and making sure it had to come out right! I get the *bleep* just thinking back on it!

I have to agree with everyone that says the professor makes or breaks the class. I had a Criminal Justice class and liked the subject but disliked how the professor taught the class.

I for sure thought everyone would have said the speech class in college, I still haven't taken mine yet, terrified lol.

I hate anything that makes me fall asleep.

Statistics for my psych degree. I could do the math formulas but had trouble knowing when to use which formulas. I never planned to go into research, so I only needed to know enough to read research results- not apply it. That class ruined my GPA because I had to take it 3 times to pass!

I think a class being "good" or "bad" often depends as much on the instructor as the topic.

Worst classes is usually math related. In college I took Sats cuz I thought It would be easier than calc but failed it. It was one of those classes where the room seemed like a thousand students were attending & of course the instructor disappeared faster than the speed of light after class ended. I decided to take this new course with calc & biology not cuz I thought it was new or interesting but cuz my husband who was a genius in everything from hard sciences,computer technology, mathematics etc thought it would be fun. Fun turned out to be months of him helping me in that class with the aid of the then, newest computer application Mathematica some how I passed with a B. I praised & cursed my hubby at the same time for getting into that damned class & for helping pass it! ::)

For me, that would probably be micro economics and macro economics.

As a PE major I had an Asthetics of Movement class. Combined dance and other forms of art and looked at them as the related to using and filling negative space. Had to write 4 papers for a class that was for 1 semester hour of credit.

Biology because my professor had the worse attitude. Plus I don't find the topic interesting.

The worse class that I ever took was Chemistry in college! It was sooooo hard...The labs were great but the class part was terrible....I barely passed!

For me it was always math and science that I hated. I was no good in them and still can't even do algebra. I have a problem helping my 10 year old with her homework. But I would have to say that the worst class I ever Had was because of the teacher. It was my high school science teacher. He spoke in a monotone through the whole class and when he would come near you his breath was so HORRID it would linger when he would move away.

That's funny, I consider the worst class the class I almost failed, BUT, I loved the class. It was North American Indians and it was an Anthropology class and I guess my artist brain couldn't wrap around Anthropology... I got a D and if I had failed I would not have graduated. But, I got a D that ruined my GPA, but I got the diploma.

I've actually got a few, depending on how you define "worst class"...
The classes that I had the worst grades in were Spelling and Penmanship in elementary school (my mother would joke that my poor handwriting just showed that I was going to be a doctor when I grew up)
The classes that I was bored in the most were 2nd grade math and 9th grade social studies. In the math class, we used this workbook for our homework assignments and the teacher would usually give us time at the end of class to work on your homework. However I breezed through those problems in class, so the teacher had me color in the cartoon animals and whatnot that were in that workbook, so the math class also became a coloring book class. And the summer before 9th grade our family moved from NY to MN... In NY, the 7th and 8th grade social studies courses were on American history and the 9th and 10th grade were in World history; however in MN the classes were switched such that American history was taught in 9th grade. Since I had just spent 2 years doing American history, my family thought it was pointless for me to take it again; we even tried to get the schools to let me take the 8th grade World history class instead so that I'd have some world history under my belt. But the district wouldn't let any student that passed a certain grade to take any classes from that level, so they made me take the American history again. At least after the 1st semester when I had aced all of the tests, the teacher went back to the school and fought to get me out of this class (not only did she claim I knew the material, but also I was skewing the curve when I was consistently getting 3-5 percentage points higher than the next highest student) and so I was allowed to take a 10th grade current events course, which looked at the current news of the day and the history in that region that lead to what was currently going on. So I got a little bit of world history thru that class.
And finally the class that I felt I had done the worst in was Physical Chemistry (P-Chem) in college. P-Chem is a cross between physics and chemistry. It goes into such topics like the mathematical formulas that dictate the shape of the electron orbitals, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics. I felt that I was so lost when I first started, and after my first test when I had left over half of the questions blank because I had no clue as to how to even start solving the question, I went back to the dorm and was seriously considering dropping the class (which since it was a required class for my chemistry major, meant that I may even need to change majors in my junior year). However when I got back to class on the following Monday, I learned that the entire class was in the same boat. I guess there was some mix-up with the prerequisites for the class; the multi-variable calculus needed for P-Chem was taught in the year after the calc. course stated in the prerequ. requirements. So the teacher actually gave us a crash course in that necessary math, and the rest of the year turned out much better.
