Title: Whose Line..
Post by: ShadeTree on March 02, 2013, 05:18:16 am
Anyone else remember the show Whose Line Is It Anyway? I really miss that show! My favorite trio was Ryan, Colin, and Wayne. Also, the shows where Drew Carey was the host I found to be much more fun. A few days ago I was watching video clips of the show on YouTube. The gag reels are hilarious!

I remember that show. My brother used to watch it. But I never really got into it.  Only watched a few episodes with him...although they were pretty funny.  But some I didnt care for.

I remember the show, it was one of my favorites, I still record it in the DVDR but seldom watch it, I think ABC Family still broadcasts it, but sort of late, like a midnight run o nearby hours. I agree with ShadeTree on the trio, some of the most memorable moments where those shared by Ryan, Colin and Wayne. One of my favorite games was Props.

That was a really good show.  I do miss it and thank you for saying it may still be running.  I will look for it.  I liked it so much, but my favorite was when they would do Scenes from the Hat and the guys would have to do some quick thinking.  There was no telling which direction that would go.

It's really amazing how talented they are. They come up with hilarious stuff right on the spot.

Which did you guys like better, British or American version?

I rarely see re-runs being aired, but I'm pretty sure there aren't any new ones being made. I know Drew Carey has a somewhat new show called Improv-a-ganza. It's kinda like Whose Line. I caught an episode once a while back and I saw Colin, Wayne, & Ryan. I'm not sure if the show is still running or not though.

@g0ku4life I liked the American version better. Both were funny, but I think the American version (which had Drew Carey) was better. Ryan & Drew's chemistry and history (from when they worked together on The Drew Carey Show) brought a little something extra to the show I think.

I loved that show!  It always amazed me at how they guys could be given just a few props and either create a whole song or a fantastic skit.

It was hilarious!

I'd watch the show occasionally.  I like watching that type of improv - and it's a very good skill to try to learn to do (whether or not you are any good at it).  The show was very similar to some live comedy troops in my area (Comedy Sports, Theater Arts) - which did similar competitions with teams competing in front of a live audience, so it was fun to see that on TV.  I actually tried my hand at Comedy Sports for a season - didn't do too bad, and learned a lot - but in the end just was not my cup of tea.  However I had a few friends who were involved with different troops for several years.
