I don't know much about NetFlix but I would still have to say Redbox.  That's all we use since our local Blockbuster store shut down and even though I can't always find a movie at Redbox to watch I say you can't beat the price!

Redbox is good for movies but you have to remember to bring the movie back the next day .Now my son rented games and kept them for a week so gets to be a little pricy. We also have netflix able to get entire seasons of shows like Breaking Bad loved it.

Its about the same if you watch about 8 movies/ month.
Red Box is $1 each and Netflix is $8/ month so if thats the case it is the same price. i have Netflix and would say I watch it more for shows and older movies. Because sometimes it takes FOREVER for a new movie to pop up on Netflix. But Red Box has new releases available to you right away. Netflix doesnt cease to keep me entertained though, there are amazing documentaries on there and great movies/ shows too that I hadnt heard of and begin watching. Or ill find ones I remember really wanting to see in theatres months ago but never got the chance and now I can.
Also like people have said, Red Box is due the next day (or +$1/day) and Nexflix is a set price and you can take your time.

??? Well I don't know for sure but I use netflix and I saved a lot of money over having cable but then can't watch what I want when I want to though and I do wish they would update more often.  I only do the streaming don't hav dvds sent and I think the price is very reasonable.  I visit physical redboxs at my grocery store when I want to see something that is not on netflix.

I say it has to be Netflixs...sure Redbox will get you newer movies faster, but u have to pay for1 and then bring it back, while Netflixs is movies and tv shows 24/7 for a month for $8

I have experience with Redbox; however, I've never subscribed to Netflix.  I read every's comment in this thread because I'm considering subscribing to Netflix this summer when I'm not in school.

Redbox is okay.  The downside is that sometimes when I try to return a movie to the Redbox machine it's full and I have to go to a different location to return it.

I enjoy Netflix for the variety and streaming option, and for the amount I pay I still get more for my money with using the service. Redbox is nice as I can get things on demand and often times I am able to acquire a discount code through them.

They are actually different in their own ways. RedBox is only from the Kiosk. Where NetFlix you can stream the movies. I use both actually.

This is really going to depend on your movie preference.  Netflix has a larger variety of movies.  We like watching classics and foreign films.  Most of the movies we watch are not available through Redbox.

But, we don't use either service anymore.  We watch movies online through free sites.  Much better this way for us.

Really I think this has to do with personal preference. Red box has the most recent movies and sometime a couple older movies and games. If you get one a week for one night that is about $5 a month not much less than Netflix at $8 a month streaming however Netflix also has a limited selection of newer movies and shows.

Netflix mostly has series, older movies. Occasionally a newer movies is listed on Netflix and some movies never seem to make it on Netflix no matter how old they get. Netflix does have more selection but similar to TV there may be 80% of the content you would never even consider watching or have any interest in. Redbox is good for when you want certainty that you will see what you want (although many movies are all rented out on the weekend in busy locations). Netflix is more like a replacement for TV having many many things to see but not all of it is things you want. You have to decide which aspect is more important to you.

Personally I use the 2 disc at a time from Blockbuster. I can rent movies, games and shows and they seem to have a decent selection. $15 a month for 2 discs at a time. However the shipping times have gotten slower so essentially it ends up only being 2 discs a week ( even if I send back the disc right away) It is your choice if it is worth it to you.  Occasionally I will get something at Redbox and I share a subscription of Netflix with my mom so I watch it sometimes too.

If you have a good library, a library/redbox combination can work really well for awhile and probably cost you a little less than Netflix.

That being said, I think Netflix is definitely worth the $8 a month for their service.

I had netflix and for some reason didn't keep it. We use Redbox all the time. For us its easy and with the popcorn coupons you can get it makes it almost free.

I like Netflix better because I don't have to go anywhere to get the videos.  I use to do both videos sent to my home and streaming, but now I only do the streaming.

.I have never renovated from red box. My son-in-law really a movie the other night from red box with a Blu-ray day and called Reckitt Dave. And it would not play so he had to go back in town was about 6 miles away to read another one which was not a Blu-ray so we could have a family evening watching the DVD. Personally I have Netflix and I watch one or two movies every night sometimes more! So I save Netflix is better than red box. It is more convenient and have just much to selection of movies

Netflix you do not have to go out, however they have old movies.  You have to wait a very long time before the movies that come out on DVD play on there.  Some of their movies are like way too old.

Netflix is cool but the selection is pretty lame for online streaming and now they doubled their price, redbox is pretty handy though too but havent used that much
