I don't like yard work at all.  Was "forced" to do yard work as a kid, and resent all of it now.

I've started some of my plants here indoors just waiting for the nice weather to plant outside. So looking forward to cleaning up the yard from the debris thrown around during the winter. Can't wait to decorate the yard as well with lights and cute little adornments.

I love yard work as long as it's not weeding or raking.  Both seem to be futile endeavors as the weeds and leaves seem to come back the second your not looking.  I used to plan annuals, but now only plant perennials as it's easier on the wallet.  The only annual I have are potted mums.  I have several blackberry bushes that I planted, but otherwise I don't have vegetable or fruit plants.

I can't wait until the weather warms up (they want 3-5 inches of snow tonight)!, so I can get outside, clean up the yard and start planting flowers.

I am so ready to get my yard done up and garden planted, but it is still cold, alothough i have some cool weather plants peaking right now. Hoping this cold snap will be the last one we have. Some fruit trees were blooming and i think the freeze got them last night. Went out to my brothers Sat. too help my sister-inlaw transplant from little pots to bigger post. She only has 900 plants.  Another 4 weeks and all plants will be going in the green houses. It is a job. But it is a businesss for them. Twice a week in  the summer she will go to the farmers market and sell out all the tomatoes she brings. Like 5-6 bushels plus all the other veggies she brings. It is all organic. So i only plant a itty bitty garden because i get all the free vegies i want, but just like to have some at home too. Isn't life grand.

That's swell for you.  Unfortunately any thought I might have had about a garden is way gone since it's snowing bigtime here.  It's probably going to be another 2 months at least before I can plant anything outside.  Our winters don't usually go on like this right into spring.  My crocuses have bloomed but evidently everything else will all bloom together sometime in April which happened several years ago too.

This year I have to do some major work in the yard, turn the soil in the back, put some new soil down and partition some are off for a garden. I hate doing yard work but, it has to be done. We are still getting snow in my area so I guess I have a little time left yet. I guess I will started a little after Easter.

I would love to plant some flowers, but I wouldn't where to start. I may try though and see if I can get something to grow. I have also thought about planting some vegetables, but I am afraid the dog would just dig them up.

I like working in the garden. I haven't started my vegetables yet except for the overwinter crops like onion and garlic. I have done a bit of planting bulbs and spreading compost in certain areas. I am still a little concerned that the cold weather isn't behind us. Last year is snowed around this time so I want to be careful.

Sounds like most of you live in a nicer part of the country than I do.  Saturday afternoon my family and I went outside to pick up loose debris and clear out some of the over growth by the creek.  We managed to get a nice fire going in the pit.  Than Sunday night we were loading our truck up to shovel snow...So weird here in the midwest.  By Monday everything was melted again.  Sheesh.

I don't plant any vegetables or anything like that in my yard but that doesn't mean I don't work in the yard.  I have so many trees that by the time I get done racking up all the leaves, it is time to start over again.

I wish I was better with plants so that I could have a garden.  It would be nice to know exactly where your food comes from.

We're still getting winter-like weather here in central Pennsylvania, which i think is a bummer! Right now I'd like nothing more than to take my son outside to play in the lawn or to the park to feed the ducks. I'm especially excited for warmer weather because I deliver newspapers, and it's no fun to do when it's 25 degrees outside!

Gonna be working in mine this week. We got a little rain today but it is supposed to be in the 80's the next few days and I have a little time off so that and some spring cleaning is the plan.

Man, I was just talking to my sister about gardening earlier today. I just hate it. Thankfully, we have some roses and other flowers that come back every year.

I plant flowers that last year after year such as perennials.  I sometimes buy annuals for my yard.  As for a garden, I hate it.  When growing up we had 2 gardens and grew everything you wanted to eat.  Got fed up with removing weeds etc.

I love working out in the yard.  I have about an acre and I mowed part of the grass over the weekend and pulled some weeds.   I enjoy working outside and love my yard alot.

Any thought of yardwork has been put on hold. This morning we are having freezing rain and snow.  We need the moisture so I won't crap too much.  I'm ready to play in the dirt.

I admit I love to plant lots of flowers and flowering trees. I also think that is the reason pollen is out of control these days. With EVERYONE and their grandma planting more and more flowers is it any wonder people struggle with allergies and migraines?

I love to work in the yard planting flowers and putting mulch in my flower beds, but I was not able to do it last year because I had surgery in March.  The first time I tried to cut grass after my surgery, I thought I was going to pass out in the yard.  I need to get out there now and do something.  I have cut back my rose bushes, but that is as far as I have got.

I think that buying stuff at the store isn't nearly as flavorable or rewarding.  Lately cilantro has been horrible unless you nuy organic which is so much more expensive and, what the heck, it grows like a weed if you give it enough water and sunshine!  I think that yard work, in and of itself, is rewarding as well.  It is great seeing a freshly trimmed and cut lawn or seeing a well put together rock wall.  Keeping lots of flowers also adds to the beauty, peace and relaxation that a home already has to offer.  It is nice to take a look at your home after several hours of work and say "man...I really did a good job-the house looks better than it did this morning when I woke up!".
