Title: Teens coming to Visit
Post by: minervaspirit on March 28, 2013, 06:30:10 pm
My granddaughters are coming to visit next week on their Spring break.  They are 12 and 16.  What do girls that age usually like to do for fun?  So far we have a trip to a Dodger game planned, some Sun Printing, maybe some paper crafts.  If it's warm enough, a trip to the beach.
Suggestions?   ???

Well, all of those things sound perfect!  They also usually like primping and pampering, so an at home spa day with nail polish, hair stuff, maybe some make-up would probably be a hit!

Have you asked them what they do for fun?  Not all girls are into primping and makeup.  Some girls are into books and reading.  Ask them what they prefer to do for fun.  Or get some ideas from their mom and dad.

Being a teen girl can be difficult.  My daughter is 19 now and she was never a girly girl with make up and dress up.  She really enjoyed cooking and watching movies and crafts.  Just ask them.

Believe me, they will appreciate it if you ask them and listen to them.

I'm definitely consulting with them as well  ;D  I know the 12 year old especially will enjoy doing some baking and the 16 year old is a girly girl if there ever was.  These are both great suggestions.  that's what I'm needing here, some "mind prompts" lol.
It used to be sooo easy when they were little...we'd all get down on the floor with the Fisher Price toys and have a ball.

Oh my.  I totally miss the days of Fisher Price toys.  That was an easy time.   ;D
