If you won on the power ball. In what ways do you think it would change your life? And what would you do first if you won? Also would you continue to work or would you quit your job?
-
I don't think it would change my life much. I know I would help many charities around the world not just here. I would leave all my money to my kids too.

I would make sure all my loved ones felt the goodness of the winnings for sure.

I don't think I would be crazy and go out and get diamond studded flipflops or anything. I would make sure my children were taken care of and I would donate to the same charities that I do now but on a much larger scale ;D

It would change my life in the way of not having any bills because I would pay them all off and never make another bill again. It would allow me to have the home of my dreams not some silly pretentious mansion but a good solid home that I could afford to keep up. In a nice neighborhood, of course. I could provide a good financial future for myself and my family and I would not invest a drop of it in anything risky. Last but not least I would like to help a few families have a home as well. That's what I would do with the money.

Some for the wife and me. The rest to my church. That simple. :angel12: :angel12: :angel12:

Geez, if I were to win the PowerBall, it would help a lot. At the moment, I still live at home. So the first thing I would do is buy my own home and furnish it. I would also buy a car so it would be easier for me and him to get around. The rest would be put for my son's education. I know it doesn't sound too exciting but I never really needed much to be happy!!!
-
I'm not much for the expensive high life style, i'd probably just invest some of it, save some of it, and then take care of the family members that need some helping getting back on their feet.
I can't imagine winning that much money really, I can already live pretty comfortably and happy off $30,000 a year. I'm single of course.

Hello  I don't think money would change me as a person but my life style and goals would be different. I would stay in my job for two more years then I would quit and open my own business. I would use the business to give money to many charities. :angel11: I would also help bad neighborhoods turn to good neighborhoods. Then I would put some of the money in a CD. Lastly I will enjoy the money responsibly. :) ;D

tithe to the church, then help out my dad and brother. Do what must be done on my home and then find some charties of my choice to give too. First though would change my phone number so moochers could not call.

Well, there's no doubt that winning a significant amount of money would change anyone's life but, for me, I would definitely donate some to charity, take care of my family and make a difference for the poor animals that get trapped in shelters and sometimes even get euthanized. I don't think I would quit working cause then I would get bored!!!!

Depends on how much I would win, let's say a lot. I would pay off my bills and my siblings bills. I would buy us a large house, new cars, I would do the same for my siblings and my 2 best friends. I would buy about 25 acres of land and build a large no kill shelter for animals with a fully staffed hospital in the grounds. I would have my family and 2 best friends work there in administration with a salary of one million a year. But that won't ever happen, if they sold only 2 tickets, I guarantee I would not have the winning one!

1. Quit job.
2. Buy a bigger nicer house (and move to another state)
3. Buy a new car.
4. Share the money with my immediate family.
5. Go on my dream vacation.
6. Live happily ever after.
-
Definitely not be so worried about wasteful spending. I think I would still work to just because I like what I do.
-
Id still work...I would just try to open my own business. The first thing Id do is buy a house. Maybe a new car. Save the rest or invest.
-
My husband is 64 and wants to quit work so we'd put a lot into an annuity so he could and then I'd like to travel.
-
I would first give 10% to my church. Then I would consider a different house. After that, I would just put it all away - hopefully earning interest - and continue to live my life as it is now.
-
My life wouldn't really change that much, I'd just have more money to make the things I enjoy more readily available. I wouldn't go crazy on anything stupid like a bunch of sports cars, and yes, I'd still always do some form of "work".
-
I would definitely retire, give some else my job, and created a business to give people jobs.
-
I would get a bigger home, retire, take more trips, volunteer more and... No more click sites. A lot would change. I would like the chance to see this come to reality like the millions of other people out there.
-
pay all outstanding debts first then invest after that go to Sanibel island, and relax..
-
I'd probably move to Las Vegas, maybe build a hotel/casino while I'm at it. I probably wouldn't work. Unless that whole hotel/casino thing doesn't work out, then I might have to take a part time gig somewhere!
-
One thing for sure, I would be back here on Fusioncash the next morning doing my clicks and posting in the forum like I have for the last 5 years.
I don't have any job to quit, so that would be a no-brainer choice for me. Just keep on keeping on.
I would stash most of it in some kind of an annuity so I would be guaranteed an income for life, then go on with what I do already, not much change.
Sure I would give some away to help my friends and family members, but not go crazy throwing it away. Mostly I would try to help them with a hand up, and not just a handout. For instance, for my son who is a chef I would buy a restaurant and put him in whatever job he wanted with a nice salary.
HOWEVER, since I never buy a ticket I don't think I need to worry.
-
:) buy things I need then stuff I want and could not afford before.
-
I would pack me and my son stuff in a storage. Head directly for the airport and get of out the states quickly as possible. lol I would go on a long vacation to plan out the important things to do.
-
Wow. Well, we'd buy a new vehicle. We'd probably also move to another country a lot quicker than we anticipate.
My husband would construct a few things. We'd build a greenhouse, shed, new home, a faraday cage, and animal pens, for raising livestock.
I'd probably buy my daughter anything she wanted, and it would probably be art related stuff. :D
I'd buy myself the best Canon DSLR I could lay my hands on, along with a high-powered telescope, so I could take deep space photographs.

i would invest mine, and pay off my bills, help out my family and start a business and give to charity and enjoy life.
-
I would get a heart attack. That's what would happen to me.I do not think that anybody would be still working that's absurd.I'll definitely try to take it easy and help those in need.I like the list of things that some people would do. It helps to have a plan just in case it really happens to somebody. Good luck to all who play.  :notworthy:
-
I would hope that it would not change my life in a drastic way. I would pay off my bills and get a new Ford Escape. Then I would probably invest some of the money. I would also help my daughter with her college loans.
-
First I would make sure all my family is as well off as I am (my family is not large) Then I would buy a nicer car, give to my favorite charity, invest the rest and continue to live the life I am living now.
-
I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I've gotten by on so little for so long, having that much at once would freak me out a little. :D
I'd probably let it sit for awhile, just to get used to it.
-
If and when? I was to win a large amount of money what would I do? For one I wouldn't let it change me as a person, I am to set in my ways. I would retire from the working world. I would enjoy life more, travel and make sure my daughter and her boyfriend have money to live on so they don't have to watch every penny they have. As far as the rest of my family, well they are greedy and nothing for them as their true colors are me, me, me.
Charities... I would repay back the ones that helped me, with a large donation.
and I would be careful with a power ball win money, because you can lose it all by foolish spending and I wouldn't want to be poor again. :BangHead:
-
The very first thing I would do is go get a complete health check under all the machines to make sure if anything is creeping inside me, I can take care of it to be around to spend my money.
-
I would assume it was a mistake, since I never (and will never) play.
-
If I were to win the power ball I cancel my membership with all of the on line web sites that I use to make a few extra dollars with.
-
I would buy myself a new car (nothing flashy, just a car because mine is starting to go out).
Pay off my husband's car and his college loans.
Pay for the rest of my college.
Buy a house.
Give some to my family, then put some in to savings.
-
I will buy a house for my family, pay of the house mortgage and buy an educational plan for my nieces and nephews. Give some to the church and thank God for blessings.
-
I would like to win, but...I would get me a house of my own and my closest friends....I would buy a lot of land and hire others to plant and can food that can help feed us a well as others....I would love to do a program where we can help those who are homeless and job less....so many houses that need work and someone to live there.....and I would buy a home on wheels and travel I would love to see the land with my own eyes before I get to old to travel....
-
It'd be great to win the powerball, but I don't like the fact that the winner has to be announced publicly. I'd prefer be anonymous. I would be able to pay off the debts owed, help my grandmother, my aunt, my cousins and my friends out. Plus it would be great to move to a nicer neighborhood and finally have a new car. We have never had one before. Plus I could help my church and some charities. It would be life changing but I think it wouldn't change us. We'd still want to live a more simplistic life.
-
I would try to hide the fact that I won so I would probably keep working and then one day when the coast was clear I would quit and then head to some beach to spend all my time as a recluse ;D
-
I would help some of my friends and family pay off their debts, or at least gift them as much as I could where they wouldn't have to pay taxes on it. I'd probably buy a few things that I always wanted but couldn't afford. I would put some into a bank account that I'd use to donate to charity with the thought being that the interest earned on that amount would go to a charity so that I'd always have money to donate.
The rest would be split up among different credit unions in my area so that my money would be covered under the insurance limit. Then, I'd adjust my standard of living to ensure that I can survive on just the interest produced from the money in my accounts so I don't need to dip into the principal.
-
I would buy myself a nice house and I would decorate it how I always wanted to. I would buy my son a playground for the backyard with a fort! I would send him to a private school. And I would give some to my close family and charity. The rest I would split - half in a bank account for him and half in the bank for a rainy day. I know it doesn't sound like the most exciting thing in the world but I live simply!
-
First thing I would do would be to hire a financial advisor so I could wisely invest the money in stocks, bonds, CD's etc and the interest alone would be enough to care for my family for generations to come!
