I have tried everything from exterminators to peppermint oil to moth *bleep*. I've had my entire basement and top area of roof sealed and the squirrels are still in the walls. Cannot find an opening where they are getting in. Anyone have any more suggestions?
-
I have never heard of that. It seems funny an exterminator can't help, you should have a guarantee with them, I would keep calling them and make them come back until the problem is taken care of. Are you sure it's not mice?
-
Oh wow I am sorry to hear that. The sqiurells got in my attic last year and chewed my satellite cable :-[
I agree with the previous poster who asked about your exterminators guarantee
on an FC note I have seen a paid to call for pest removal ;)
squirrels are pests. Call if you have it and see if they can help plus earn $2!
Good luck OP

We have squirrels in our attic too BUT dont have a problem with them chewing on anything . I think maybe because we feed all the animals around here and they eat very well so by nite time I figure their bellies are full so no need to chew.. just sleep... Dont know what else to tell you except what others have said.. stick to a pest control company. Good Luck.

I would keep trying different pest companies and see if they can do anything.

Most critters including squirrels do not like the smell of Moth *bleep*. I know for a fact we were haveing problems with critters getting in the attic and we put down a box of moth *bleep* and never had a problem afterwards.

Get u a 22 rifle
-
Easy there. I think they will probably go out on their own. What they eat in the walls? I never had this problem but I am sure they make a lot of noise. Sorry but I do not know how to help on this matter. :dontknow:
-
stop feeding them peanuts

Get u a 22 rifle
In Oregon it is against the law to kill them.
I had them in my attic and trapped them with Snickers as bait, then transported them to a remote area and released them. I got the traps at Ace Hardware.

Squirrel Repellant device and pets... I don't know the accuracy of a squirrel repelling device but I believe there is some device that emits a frequency that squirrels won't go to... Or have pets, it will scare the critters away... My neighbor hood has 1-4 stray cats and there is very little amount of squirrels in my area
-
Nope but I am sure I will want to as soon as my vegetables start growing
-
Thanks all of you for you help. I've tried it all except the 22 rifle (lol)

Critters are a problem for a lot of folks. We have a squirrel season here so the suggestion of a .22 works. However, the live trap idea also works if you can stand to deal with that. Be careful though, we once caught a skunk accidentally this way. I would do an intenet search as see what others have found to be successful.

Have you tried fox urine?

I am soo sorry to hear that! I thought those kind of critters are fine!. We have one or two at the back deck and they
are kind of funny. They hold their nuts and chewed them and my kids and i watched them. While chewing their
nuts they also looking over their shoulder and made my kids busting out laughing. I sorry that they're not good to you!
How many of them in your place? Mine here so far i would say only two i quess.. hope you'll find something helpfull.
If too many of them, might look little scary...Do you have cats or dog? Let them chase them away, maybe that the only
way to get rid of it... :dontknow:

I agree the best way to get rid of pest is to get a dog that will scare them away.

I have alot of squirrels in my yard but, have not had the problem of them getting into the attic. They have got in the garage and have eaten through my wife's air filter and have made a nest in my Truck which is parked outside, other that that my trees seem to produce alot of nuts which are all over the ground and they feed well on them. They also seem to nest in the trees. I see nests all over the trees that they have made.

Try catapulting them into the neighbor's yard:
It's called "Super Squirrel"

We feed about 12 stray cats so we never have a problem with any pests hanging around
-
I have a beagle/heeler mix and she loves to chase squirrels away!
-
Use Cayenne pepper, they will be gone.
-
stop feeding them :-
-
Try a shotgun ffs ::)
-
no sorry wish i did :star: :star:

Get a cat to live in the spot they are invading. Get a few of them if you need to. Also you can always trap them. Trap one then put it in an open area. lay traps around the captured squirrel. then the rest will come to be trapped as well.
-
You should get them drunk and kick them out! The little freeloaders, they are always hanging around places looking to score some nuts and a bottle of rum. Once you get them drunk they will stagger out and then you can lock them out for good. That's how you get rid of those little creeps! ( I don't know how to get rid of squirrels but I hope my idea made you laugh.) :angel11:

lol ^^

Try feeding them salted Peanuts. They pass out and then you can remove them. Far. far away.
My grandmother did this.
Or you could call in the people from Duck Dynasty...... haha
