Title: It was a miracle,my boss was so nice to me today!
Post by: kat112073 on April 10, 2013, 07:15:26 pm
Last week, I remember that my boss was stressed out due to the audit that was going to take place at my job. I also remember her saying to me" I am going to wring your neck because you never listen to me".Today it was a slow day at work and for some odd reason my boss was the nicest she has ever been to me. What do you think this means? I was shocked she could be this nice for a change. Any advice on what this means?

Bosses are human too and affected by stress just like the rest of us.

Doubt she meant what she said when she was stressed last week, and being nice this week (stress much reduced, I assume) was just her way of making up for her display last week.

Take it in stride.  Don't read too much into it.  But recognize she can be nice when she wants to be.

Thanks, good advice. Will do and work on this for sure. I sometimes get carried away and read to much into things.

I realize that bosses are people too; but there is no excuse for rudeness.  I am very lucky.  I have the best boss, he is so much like family.  If he said something like that to me I think I would faint.  But, after I recover...... I would wring his neck! :dontknow:

It sounds like compensation for the earlier outburst.  Hopefully things will even out and it will be less stressful for everybody.  Stress can be a killer.

Be glad  she was in a good mood.  I have one boss that is always nice and one that is always grumpy. Have to talk to the grumpy one the most. She likes to yell at people. I don't like to be yelled at. I tend to yell back. Not a  good thing to do at your boss. So I try not to talk to her. :BangHead:
