Yes, I volunteer two times a week at a local nursing home.  It's sad, there are so many residents there who never get any visitors.  We try to at least make them happy by having someone, even a stranger, come in to see them and spend time with them.

I did in the past.  I am looking for other opportunities.  I joined a few groups on meetup.com but one is new and they haven't posted anything and the other doesn't really appeal to me.

Volunteering can be a way of life, like random act of kindness. Yes I volunteer to visit Nursing Homes. You can do it in organization. American Red cross, Hospital"s  etc. :star: :angel12:

Wow, this makes me feel like I am not doing enough.  I help out by donating food and household supplies based on freebies and cheapies that I get while shopping.  You can only use so much.  I figure this is a way that I can be more generous and donate alot, without having to spend alot of my actual money.

With working full time and numerous other responsibilities, I usually do not have the time or energy to volunteer much.

I might as well, most of my time is unpaid for. That is no lie, it is worse that being a doctor, never leave me alone. Can't even watch a hockey game or do anything.

When I was working a full-time job and a part time job I did volunteer my time. Now I can not volunteer my time because of my health.

I do volunteer and love it!  I play piano for our senior kitchen band which the nursing home people really love, and I volunteer my time at a local thrift store where all the money received goes to buy things for the hospital.

I use to, but I don't really have the time or energy anymore.  Maybe do some stuff this summer around town if I can find time to get out.

When my youngest son was active in 4-H I volunteered a great deal with that.  After he became a 4-H leader I helped him with that.  I don't volunteer anymore though.  I'm leaving that to the younger people.

Yes.  Every week my family volunteers our time at a forest doing planting of native plants and also pulling out of invasive species.  It's hard hard work but worth it.

I used to volunteer at my local public library. If it weren’t for my full-time job, I would’ve continued to volunteer my time working at the library where I enjoy being surrounded by books.
