A friend had hers removed two year ago because she used to be sick all the time.

I was having trouble with mine and I was told to cut back on my butter sour cream and other fats and it actually helped me but mine was just starting to bother me so I don't know if it would help you at this point .

I just had mine removed last October. It was no big deal. no pain after and went home the next day. Do it, nothing to be afraid of.

I had mine removed several years back. I had problems with mine for a long time then finally I was staying sick a lot. The er doctors kept saying it was acid reflux but when I turned jaundice, itching and couldn't keep anything down they decided it was time to do a scan on my gallbladder. Yep, it was full of stones and they had went into my bile duct. After 3 endoscopic procedures to remove the stones in the duct, I finally had my gallbladder removed. It was easy. I went into the surgery center, no hospital at 11:00 a.m. The doctor did my surgery about 11:30 that morning and I was back home by 3:00 that afternoon. I was sore for several days and had a little pain but it wasn't that bad.
Gallbladder surgery has really come along way since earlier days. Hope you get to feeling better. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

That sounds bad, hope you feel better soon. I have got bronchotis, that stinks as well

My only symptom was a squeezing pain in my chest that went away. As a nurse, I figured it was gallstones, and I was right. I had no complications from the laparoscopic procedure except a large bruise that dissolved over time.

I had my gallbladder removed in 2008. It was a blessing. I suffered from major symptoms for two years before the surgery.
A couple of things: After the surgery you may not be able to eat certain foods anymore. You may have diarrhea off and on while your body adjusts.
Some doctors recommend reducing fats and meats. I have had no issue with fats and meats. I cannot digest certain veggies anymore, though. Some people do have issues with fats and meats, some have issues with veggies.
With any surgery there will be risks. Everyone I know who has had this done was very thankful after.

I have not been through it but I do know a few people who have. If your gallbladder is bad and has to come out, it is not a major thing these days. It is done laparoscopy. My ex wife's uncle had it done and he was home in 2 days.

Good luck and I hope you are feeling a little bit better each day...I have not been sick in awhile and I hate hearing about other people suffering!! :sad1:
