Title: insomnia(anyone?)
Post by: unojuno on May 27, 2009, 08:10:56 pm
anyone out there suffering sleep deprivation?  Seems since I have been completing these surveyus (which is totally new to me), I've been lacking my zzzzz"s.  I am so focused on the task at hand (whatever it may be), I CANNOT rest until I resolve any issues which prevent me from accomplishing my "tasks"  Anyone have the same problem? :crybaby2:

Haven't been diagnosed, but seeing how I only get 2 or 3 hours of sleep per night, and usually don't fall asleep until 6 or 7am... yeah, I think we've got something in common :p

Yes, you sound just like me.  My husband thinks I am crazy.  When he goes to sleep i am on the computer and when he wakes up I am on the computer.  Just recently my computer crashed and I was literally sick because I had to wait to payday to buy another one. :sad1: But I guess I am addicted to makeing money (for free) online.  And I love searching the web and discovering them.  Yeah, I think I'm crazy. :'(

My husband did not sleep well until he started to take tylenol pms.  They work really well for him.  Good Luck!

I also seem to suffer from insomnia but not because of these surveys or trying to make a few extra bucks.  Mine is a direct link to my bi-polar disorder and with being pregnant I am weary about taking anything. I do have a prescription for medical marijuana which seems to help but they haven't really ran any test to see how it may or may not harm the unborn baby so I just stay clear from it.

I also have Insomnia and Restless Leg Syndrome. Both of those make It difficult to sleep. I have to go walking at 3 AM sometimes because the nerves In my legs twitch.

Anyone tried Kava Kava?  Works best when I tried it as drops vs the pills.  I found the drops at Harry's Farmers Market.  Seems to relax and slow my mind enough to fall asleep.  Beats the swimming feeling I get with alcohol.

Good for you, keeping your baby's health in mind.  I'm glad you're using your prescription responsibly.

I don't have insomnia anymore, but when I had it (albeit mildly) I found these helped - they're homeopathic:

The Calmes Forte seemed to work for me for a while, but I don't think they're for someone with persistent insomnia.  It seems to work as an occasional aid.

I've tried those and they never worked for me. The only thing that does work for me Is Advil PM. I'll sleep at least 4 or 5 hours.

Advil PM is just ibuprofen plus diphenhydramine = Benadryl.  Take 2 x 25mg generic Benadryl and you'd be set then.
