Title: how do you think of topics?
Post by: sgluckadoo on May 13, 2013, 03:38:57 pm
I am sort of blank for something to discuss, which made me wonder how people come up with topics to discuss on here.

Its probably just the first thing that comes to their head, or maybe something they've been thinking about the whole day. The great thing about a forum is that you can pretty much bring up any topic without feeling embarassment, as opposed to real life.

I like to advise people, so I started posting on FC in the hopes that my advice helps someone else.  It worked; I have been thanked 42 times for my advice.  Sometimes you must put yourself in the other person's shoes and think what you might be able to say that would help them.

I like to post topics dealing with current events and get the opinions of others on what is happening in society at the time.

Don’t worry about it. You’re not alone with a mental block. It’s not an obligation to post a topic. As long as similar topics are not posted again, it’s all good.

Could be the first thing that comes to mind, or questions they've always wanted to ask people, or a question based on something someone else said.  Most of mine are questions I've wanted to know another person's answer to besides my own.

I like "hot topics"...Topics that really affect the general public.

I only started 1 topic...it's when I got my first referral. Mostly I just reply to other people's topics. There's so many different topics to choose from that  I feel I don't need to start more. Besides once I reach my 30 posts (32 to be safe), I won't post until next month.

Good advice. I always post way more than i have to just to be safe. My biggest problem is that I hate typing!

I usually look on the first few pages of the forum and see if anything interests me. If there isn't a topic I am thinking of then I make a new thread about a topic I want to open a discussion about.
