Tell us more. Is this your teacher or your child's teacher? What grade and subject? That could make a difference.
I'd suggest a homemade gift basket. If it's your child's teacher perhaps the child could make something to show their appreciation. If she teaches her favorite subject/passion then use that as a theme.

Maybe a good book. Any token of appreciation I'm sure would be cherished ;D

Thank you card and a pen set would be good gift.

A gift certificate for a restaurant or even a Visa/MC gift certificate so they can buy whatever they want or need most of them spend their own money on supplies and/or to decorate their rooms, a little $$ for that is a nice touch.

Involve your child in the search for that special gift. Otherwise, I opt to go with a gift card to a spa. :peace: :star:

A flower or plant saying "Thank you for helping me grow".

I think that gift certificates, or cash, cash are always the perfect fit. Giving them knick knacks from Hallmark are fairly useless and only accumulate dust on a forgotten shelf in their home. Starbucks treats them to a coffe that they wouldn't generally buy, given their salary' themselves. A gift certificate to a restaurant allows them to enjoy the fruits of their labor with someone else. Since they are a teacher and Amazon gift card opens up the possibilities to what they can purchase...especially books, Compact Disks, and DVD's. I think that gift certificates for a mall would be a good idea as well.
