Title: Credit Cards

I went to the mechanic and I  was in the waiting room and I noticed the soda machine has a place where you can slide your card to buy a $1.29 drink. I wouldn't want to use that. I wonder what will be next...

I didn't think credit card companies wanted you to use your card for such small amounts. Also i know retailers have to pay a fee every time you use your credit card. You wouldn't think they would find it worth it.

I know they were talking about making soda machines and other vending machines that could be paid using cell phones.

The credit card companies could care less about the amount you charge.

We have those on all the vending machines at work in the break room.  I still just use cash.

I wouldn't mind using my cc for that.  I payoff my cc every month and get cash back for it. So every little bit helps.  But then again, only if I was really thirsty and really wanted it, would I use a vending machine to get a drink at $1.29.  :)

Debit and pre-paid card with MC or Visa on them can be used there too.  I haven't seen those machines yet, but I'm without transportation these days so...  I'd like to see them on the machines at the laundromat.  These days all my money's virtual and I never seem to have cash.  ::)

There is no way I would use a CC to buy a Soda out of a machine.  There is something off about the procedure.

I love that I can use a credit card at a vending machine.  I don't carry loose change around and I seem to never have $1 bills on me.  I'm actually disappointed when I go somewhere and they only have the "old fashioned" vending machines (takes cash only).

Have you not paid at the pump, used self-checkout, rented a movie at redbox, etc.? This is the way things are now.

I can't say that I am surprised.  I have never seen that, but I have been waiting on it as I felt sure it was just a matter of time.  What is next is right...we will be seeing it absolutely everywhere before too long.

i have never seen one of those..then again..where i live we hardly have soda machines anywhere.
