I remember when I had to take online Math and English classes in college, and I did not like it. I also was not motivated enough, and always waited for the last day to do the work.

I've taken online classes in the past while I was physically going to college, and I really like them. It was so much easier for me to study on my schedule.

Several years back I picked up my Comp Sci degree online at Lakeland (Kaplan) College. I had gotten degrees at University or WI earlier in life. The comp sci degree was to supplement my resume as our contract was under review, and at the time I didn't have 10 years experience in my field if I had to look for a new job, so I decided to get the degree online.
I liked the experience. This university worked on a trimester, so I only had about a month break between sessions and had to stay focused during the summer study. On the whole, most classes were easy for me to learn, as I had been doing the work professionally for a while, plus I'm very self-disciplined to get the assignments and required postings completed. This university does have local campuses as they do in class as well as blended classes (half online/half in class). I was required to go to a local office to take my mid-term and final exams.
I found if you have a good teacher leading the online classes, you can learn a lot - one just needs to be disciplined enough to do your assignments.

I got my Associate's on campus and my Bachelor's and Master's online, now I'm going after my PhD online but I'm going to transfer universities first.
I hope to be I'm going to be an online professor among other career aspirations.
I always say technology is one of the best things invented; if used properly it can be used to upgrade our lives in so many ways.
I enjoy online classes but I have a cousin who was a straight A student on campus and pulling Cs online with the same university and I have a friend that just wasn't disciplined enough to put herself on a schedule to have everything turned in on time so it's for some people and others it's not but I, fortunately, can do on or offline.

My son  got a BS from U of Phoenix, he went to play professional baseball right out of high school, so he started the online classes the next year. Part of his contract was a complete education, so now he is working on his Masters. It was great because he just had to have his computer with him when he traveled to keep up with everything.

I taken a few online courses with a few more in the following semester.... I am kind of mixed with taken online course because although they are some good online courses, I have a bad experience wit... It mainly depends on the professor and how well they respond and run the online course (ratemyprofessor is my go to, if I decide to take an online course...anything above a 3 is a good sign).... I will only consider taking an online course that covers my electives

Not me personally. But one of my family members does. It works really well when you have a full time job and three kids.

I wish this option was available when my sister dropped out. Or maybe it was and she was just uninformed.

I sort of am. I'm not doing very well though because I'm just not smart enough for the work. I haven't bothered with my work for a long time either, even though I know that I really need to do it even if I don't get the best marks. I wasted so much money on the program, when I knew from the beginning that I should have saved my money because I wasn't smart enough for that particular program but I went and did it anyway. :BangHead:
