Title: fire alarm test

today is the fire department's visit to test the fire alarm system in the building and make sure all equipment works.
I am leaving the building and going out for the day. Many of my neighbors are/ those who can, anyway.

My sister always calls me when they are doing that at her place. She can't leave so I get to hear the loud noise with her. :) I don't see how anyone can stand the sound.

I don't live in a place like that. I just have a smoke alarm in my house. The other day it beeped and two of my dogs, who happened to already be next to me, freaked out and tried to disappear by tangling themselves into my legs. One of them never used to get scared like that, no idea why she gets so scared over things that never used to bother her.  :dontknow:
