to have your own car or take the bus or cab or get a ride from some else i have a friend that all she does is *bleep* about the fact she doesn't have a car but she won't buy one or take the bus or cab i told her to get a car and stop her belly aching about it she was in a accident about 2 years ago and since then she won't drive but she won't even try so i told her to either get a new car or find someone else to bother and i don't like being like that but i have had enough of it

It's messed up how people like that think their behavior is acceptable while they burden other people constantly. I have my own car and I wouldn't want it any other way. I hate having to ask people for help and I would never intentionally put myself in a situation to do it all of the time.

i understand where your friend is coming from -i was in a wreck about 3 years ago and it took me a very long time to get in a vehicle let alone drive again! wrecks are very scary things--work with your friend slowly maybe just a small trip in a car down the street some and back-then a little farther as she feels more comfortable--she needs to feel safe again in a car and you need to support her --which i am sure you do --but wreck trauma is very real --good luck to both of you and i hope your friend finds peace

I love having my own car. I can't imagine not having one.

Having your own car is a huge necessity. I can't imagine having to take the bus and waiting out in the hot sun, rain and snow for it to arrived and then having to deal with crazies. Nuh uh, no ma'am.

My daughter in law just got her license a few months back and she is 28 because she was in an accident with her friend driving. She had minor injuries but, her friend had went into a coma for a few months and luckily came out of his coma but, had pretty substantial injuries and that kept her from driving herself for about 9 years. My son got her back to driving again but, he did the same, took her out once in awhile after she got her permit and then in about 6 mos after her permit went and got her license. Now you can't keep her from driving!! It works it's way out in the end.

I grew up having to depend on the city bus for most of my transportation, so I really appreciate having a car now.

I love having a car, it's nice to go wherever, whenever I want. It is so expensive though, alot of times I wish I lived closer to my job so I could walk there.
-
I have my own car so i dont need to depend on anyone else(but i do understand where your friend is coming from at the same time,i was in a car wreck when i was younger and didnt even want to get a car for 3-4yrs after the the car wreck,so be very pacnt with your friend shell come around)

There is nothing like having your own car and being able to go when you get ready and not having to wait for a ride.
-
It is better to have your own car (to have reliable personal transportation) than to be stranded waiting for the bus.
-
If I could ever work out the timing I think I would really like public transportation but locations and schedules where I live are just not convenient.
-
I have my own car but about 40 % of the time I take a bus to the place I wanna get to. The 60 % is with my car for work and if I have to be the designated driver.
-
I can't imagine not having a car. The bus system where I live is pretty much nonexistent.
-
I use public transportation, but I also like the freedom a car offers as I can generally set my own terms on where I want to go. I don't see an exact need for an expensive luxury car as vehicles depreciate so much, but I find a car in general a necessity, especially where I live.
-
Having your own car is a huge responsibility. But if you are in an area where there is public transportation by all means take advantage! its much cheaper.
-
I would prefer having my own vehicle. Having one means not having to depend and wait on other people.
-
defintly to have my own car!!!!! :icon_rr:
-
It's not right how some people think it's okay to take advantage of others like that. You made the right call.

I Like To Have My Own Vehicle. I Don't Like Public Transportation. Used To Ride The Bus But Now I Drive Or Car Pool With Another At Work. Saves Gas Money But Its still Better Than The Bus :peace:

I much prefer to have my own car to drive. It is exspensive but nice to go where go want to go when you want
-
I live in the country so i have no choice3 but ot own a car for transportation. I also have to admit that I like the independence a car gives you to come and go as you please.
-
I have my own car and I thank God for it every day.
-
Taking the bus and or cab can be a big hassle and expensive. I prefer my own car. I can then go where I want and when I want without standing waiting for a bus or cab.
-
I would rather take my car. Hopefully, I'll never have to take public transportation.
