Title: A question about Captchas that cannot be deciphered
Post by: adeadeabodunrin on July 13, 2013, 09:21:36 am
Since I found out about Radio Loyalty, it's been one of the major ways I keep pushing up my earnings but just this afternoon, some terribly wicked captchas started showing up and I had to refresh a number of times before my eyes could manage to read one. We all understand the reasoning behind captchas but can someone please elucidate on the reasoning behind the ones that even the human eyes cannot read

I completely agree!  Sometimes I can't read them either.  You can ask for another one, but sometimes those aren't any better!

Luckily you can keep refreshing til you get one thats ok.  I am sure as they put captcha in place, they made more auto programs to read them, so they have to keep making it harder.  Its manageable.

I have been seeing really dark captcha's that you can barely make out.  I have had to just hit submit and the next one will load after an error message.

I'm noticed that lately there have been a lot of different color combos, like dark blue on black. I definitely have to squint to read them. Thankfully, you can hit that circular button to refresh to a new captcha until you find one that you can decipher!

Here's a little trick (well, not really, LOL).  To the right of those captchas is a link you can click on to change the captcha to a VOICE captcha.  You LISTEN to it, then type in what it tells you.  I use that when the captchas are especially hairy like the ones you're getting.

The reason they get "hairier" is that frauders' attempts to decipher them automatically get more sophisticated.  It's actually very difficult to make a captcha that is not "hackable".  So you'll see more and more "noise" and distortion, and low/high contrast, and other artifacts.  Like many online money making activities, the few frauders really make life more difficult for the honest majority.

Maybe it's my age, but those vocal ones are even harder for me. I just keep refreshing until I get one I can decipher.

Well, just as Old Buddy said, you CAN keep refreshing the captcha until you get one you think you can read.

I'm not a fan of the voice captchas and I just hope that I get one that is readable. Thanks for responding admin because I've wondered this myself when some of the captchas are too hard.
