Title: name brand shoes vs walmart?
Post by: ODOMS6598 on June 07, 2009, 08:03:48 am: :dontknow: who buys name brand shoes for their kids for school as opposed to walmart shoes? myself, ive found that name brand lasts longer. just wandering everyone's opinion..

Post by: mrisha on June 07, 2009, 08:38:16 am: I think most people buy name brand because they are leather and because of that they will last longer. Walmart doesn't really stock too many leather shoes-I don't think. I've never purchased shoes from Walmart for my child. :wave:

They are a good brand, and last a long time for me. I also buy my flip flops there for summer, that is all I wear. I like them just fine and they are really cute.

I buy @ WalMart too.....as fast as kids grow u may as well save a little money on their shoes; play clothes too. I have bought WalMart shoes for myself that have lasted a good while for me. :icon_rr:

As I got older and the shoes lasted longer (not growing as fast!), we would buy name brand shoes instead. No reason really to buy expensive shoes to last a matter of months.

i agree also on kohls, that's where i bought my girls shoes last year and they are still in great shape. :wave:

Other than work I wear nothing but the same pair of sandals I have had for about 5 years. They are indestructible.

I always have to go to a shoe specially store and pay mega bucks for a pair of shoes. But the shoes are Wal-Mart are not strong and sturddy and will kill your feet so I would recommend purchasing just a few pairs of shoes each year from a good well known shoe store. Have you heard the latest and seen the latest email about Wal-Mart shoes and the infections they caused people? I personally do not shop at Wal-Mart with all of the bad things that have been going on in their stores and their poor quality of merchandise. Avoid Wal-Mart at all costs!

Name brand= $60-$80 shoes that last a year= $60-$80/yr

The choice for me is clear. Although I don't know how fast you people go through shoes.

i buy anything i can find the cheapest, which i usually don't find too many deals that beat out walmart, and i love hand-me-downs..........my baby isn't even born yet and they already have more clothes than me....ok well almost as many...and they're all hand-me-downs and all in good condition, i haven't accumulated too many pairs of shoes yet, but i will!

I prefer $70 white air nikes my self but thats just me i never have bought shoes from walmar/target/kmart... well ok maybe as a child but never anymore!! but they do got some good light up kids shoes haha! they were all the rage in the 90's haha LOL!!! :icon_rr: :thumbsup: :wave:!

You get what you pay for so enjoy you're nasty feet and lack of support and buy your Wal-Mart shoes that were made for like 5 cents an hour in some foreign country. Hell, I work for Shoe Carnival now and even some of their shoes are made by foreign countries but at least you'll get better support and value there. If you hate your back and body, keep buying Wal-Mart brand shoes - support the crappy workforce of that hellhole

I would only buy throw away shoes from Walmart, which are shoes that we plan to destroy really quick and wont care about.
But for something to wear out and be comfortable in I wouldn't wear shes from Walmart if they were free.

Growing up I really couldn't stand wal-mart brands because they weren't "cool" or "fashionable" but now I kinda dun mind. I've bought some flip flops from wal-mart before but I've never bought tennis shoes or anything. My mom buys tennis shoes there all the time and keeps them for years so they must be pretty decent.

I think I'd still prefer to have some converse or something. :P
