Wow have I had a bad case of insomnia tonight. I was working on a project and just kind of got carried away. Pretty soon I felt like my eyes were crossing and I was starting to make mistakes. I tried to go to sleep after that but no luck. It is now 4:30 and I am starting to get a little tired, but not really. I really wish we didn't need to sleep. I would get a lot more done. I will probably be worth nothing tomorrow and want to sleep all day.

It's a good thing you are not a NASCAR driver, that could be serious.

I do this atleast once a week. Owning a small business is not fun sometimes.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE :'( only slept for 1.5 hours last nite and I;m hoping history doesn;t repeat itself tonight... I tend to do to this alot, especially when I am stressed

Hope you can get some sleep soon.

Sometimes I crash and sleep for an hour or two then wake up wide awake.
Of course the wide awake part doesn't last long....lol.

yeah, don't drive if your drowsy! Try caffeine, before noon.

I couldn't sleep last night. It was early morning then I fell asleep. I know that they say during a full moon people have a hard time sleeping. I don't know if there was a full moon or not last night.

I used to have insomnia problems when I was in the start of Junior year in HS.... It wasn't stress because I had that problem throughout the good days of summer, probably even now (dunno anymore I sleep at 1-2 am)... I heard that if you have insomnia you should exercise a little so that if your tired you can able sleep faster

I had nights like that when I was working. Now that I'm not, I still have occasional nights like that when something is on my mind, or I had caffeine too late. Most of the time I stay up too late and get up too late, around 10:00. I like having my mornings, but usually can't get up. I'm in a dilemma because I feel like I deserve my sleep now, but don't want to waste my retirement sleeping. ::)

Don't know if you can call my case insomnia, but I only sleep 2 hours then I'm awake for 4 or more. I fall asleep between 8-9 p.m. and wake up between 10-11 p.m. Then I'm awake until 4 a.m. or later but definitely fall back to sleep by 6:30 a.m. until 8 a.m. every couple nights.
It's weird but usually when I have nights like that, I grab a bowl of chocolate ice cream (good excuse, huh?) or chocolate marshmallow ice cream (the richer the chocolate the better) and I fall asleep within minutes. Another thing that usually works for me is I'll lay on the couch and put on a TV station with programs that I really want to see and I'll generally wake up when the programs are over.
Neither of those worked last night.

This happens to me every night, time for bed: toss and turn, a hour goes by, just rest my eyes is good but just laying there not asleep, than thousands of thoughts start or that one deep-thought, I took the insomnia herbs, but no, too tired to watch tv, get up to do the bathroom trip, look at my :male: hubby sleep, and I start feeling spent, than around 2-3 o'clock in the a.m. I go to sleep and get up at 6:00 I get up refreshed and my day is on.

I get like this too, thinking its better to take advantage of this creative burst but it usually throws off my next day completely.

Sometimes when you are really stressed or worried about something insomnia kicks in. It is really frustrating, I had an hysterectomy last year and because of the change of schedule I could not sleep for days at a time, try taking some calming tea like chamomile or look for sleeping teas at your grocery store they really help.
