Title: Whodunnit Reality Show Murder
Post by: rainman306 on August 02, 2013, 01:12:40 pm
Who do you think is the Murder on the ABC reality show Whodunnit??  Now that we are down to the last few weeks.

I thought Kam was the killer for awhile, but now that seems to obvious and I think that Chris it the killer.

I'm finding this to be a fun show - probably won't be as good in a second season as you'll start getting "characters" to stir up fake drama if the show gets picked up for another season.  I've always like murder mysteries (or just mysteries in general - used to be a fan of "The Mole" series before it went "celebrity").

I really like how the person "kicked off" gets to stick around an extra week as the next victim.  That just seems like a really fun consolation "prize".

As far as the murderer, I've had my eye on Melina since about the 3rd episode.  She tends to stay in the background, and quietly stirs up trouble.  She was the one who upset the big group the week of the double elimination by convincing everyone of the wrong type of snake.  That's something an expert saboteur would do (or the killer!).

I was interested to hear Ronnie comment at the end of the last episode that he (finally) realized Melina was the only one who had not received a "scared" card yet...

Ok, honestly I haven't heard of this show so have patience if I missed something.  But a reality show involving a killer.....doesn't add up to me.

I still don't even know what day and time the show comes on. I've managed to catch it sometimes by accident. I don't know who the killer is and actually, I don't care that much. I play along by trying to figure out how the murders were carried out. That's more interesting to me than knowing who the actual killer is. I don't see the show getting past this season, but I'll enjoy it for now... that is of course, whenever I catch the show.

This is the first I have heard of it.  Sounds interesting.  I like guessing the "whodunit" in those kinds of shows.  What channel does it come on and what day?  I may check into it. ??? :o ???

Thanks for the replies.  The show comes on Sunday night on ABC ... 8pm in the central time zone where i am.

Melina is not the only one not to receive a scared -- I think either Ronnie or Chris have not received a scared card either.

I don't think anyone is "voted" off.  They have to very articlualety describe when, how and where someone was murdered and the show always trys to through some "smoke and mirrors" to them to confuse them.  The 2 with the worst murder theory description are given scared cards.  A fake murder is than acted out.  At the end of the shows the murdered person gives a farewell speach and show us they are not really dead.

Pretty good show but as to who the killer is, well, that's a hard one.  Hey, maybe the Butler did it!!!!

Never heard of it, but sounds like a unique idea in what has become a very mundane TV genre.

I thought about the Butler being the murder, but I think that's against the rules.

Then again is anyone really carrying out these "acted murders" or is the cast doing it and one person was just designated as the murder.

Wasnt even aware of it, and I like murder mystery stuff. I have always wanted to go to one of those murder mystery dinner theaters.

I caught the fine print at the end of the show which states the contestants take a written exam.  The one with the lowest score is the next "victim".  The show "The Mole" used a similar means of determining the next person eliminated.  The Mole showed staged scenes of the contestants taking the quiz and the audience got to hear a few of the questions they were expected to answer which I thought was interesting.  I like how this show is staging each contestant voicing their version of how they think the murder occurred.

I couldn't believe Ronnie went with a trained monkey explanation for the chandelier falling - too funny!

Thought those who are watching the show would find this article interesting.  It's an interview Ulysses gave to a local news agency.  Provides some behind-the-scenes info on the show that's interesting.

Imagine if someone took the game or movie "Clue" and turned it into a Reality competition show...that's basically what this is.  It's more of a game where the contestants need to solve riddles and figure out clues.

I like the idea of this show, but I think it plays out rather cheesy. I've been following it "mildly interested".

This is pretty much my assessment of it. This is why I only catch it when I just happen to be flipping through channels and it's on. I don't look for it. Also, this is why I don't see it lasting more than this one season.

We started out watching this one.   I love a good mystery and was excited when it first started.
But as it turns out it just seemed to fake.  The people/actors I mean.  That fire on the other had was too graphic!

Turns out that Chris (a female) was the murder as I had expected since about midway through the show.  It was a nice change of pace reality show -- the final contestants and winning contestant had to display a high degree of intelligence.

For the most part I liked it.  I think it fell apart a little bit with the "reveal" at the end.  Seemed a bit like they were winging it.  If it comes back for another season, hopefully the show runners think of a better way to do the reveal - perhaps actually have the winner really unveil the murderer.

What I found most amusing is the guy who won never thought the girl revealed to be the murderer was the murderer.  The one he thought was the murderer was the last "victim" and then he realized it.

Is it true that the winner was awarded $40million?

No, the cash prize was $250,000 (quarter of a million dollars, not $40 million).

I really enjoyed the show.  My teenager did as well which is always nice.  I was never really sure who the Killer was though!

It was fun!  I didnt really care who the killer was too much, but he was the one I thought would win it from the first episode.

I still wonder if Chris actually carried out the fake murders or if it was done by stagehand people.  I also thought that Kam would win the show.
