It's so easy to swipe a card to buy things. Do you use checks anymore? I got a good deal last year and I bought 4 boxes and it's now taking forever for me to use!
-
I don't because I prefer quick and easy transactions these days.
-
no i dont..i use my card for everything...some things i pay for online... still have some checks left...even have a book of them in my purse.not sure why though...its so much easier to use the card or checks...
-
I use a check once a month to pay a certain bill but that is all.
-
very rearly,,,only once a month when I pay rent :dog:
-
Yes I still write checks. I know it's easier to swipe a card but I don't feel as comfortable with that when you read all the negative things about debit cards. Also now most stores print the checks for you and show you the total on the check. It's so easy.
-
I write checks for bills. My credit union gives the first box of checks for free and that's all we need.

With debit cards, credit cards, and paying online I don't think anybody uses checks these days. But the ones you have won't expire and sounds like you have a life time supply :D
-
I use a few a month for certain bills but mostly use my debit card. I'm lucky if I go through a pack of checks per year!
-
I very seldom ever write checks any more. I use my debit card for most purchases that I physically make. I pay the majority of our bills online. If there is a check that needs to be sent, I can direct my bank to send the check for free by using their online banking system. Sure has made life a little simpler to pay bills!
-
I rarely write checks anymore.
I pay online or through automatic payments for utilities.

I don't think I have written a check since 2006 lol!

The only time I regularly write a check is to pay our water bill every other month. Our city offers electronic payment, however they charge a $5.00 service charge. No thanks.
Otherwise, the only other times are for like gift giving (we just wrote one for a graduation gift last month) or paying for a service (like when we paid for a water heater installation a couple months ago).
-
Sadly not any more. I used to and I loved writing checks! My mother still does.
I miss picking out my favorite picture to put on them, signing them and tearing them out!
Ah the good ol days, lol.
-
I don't write checks because I might overdraw my account
-
We still write some checks but not too many. We write checks to our Church, to the tax ofc and places like that but otherwise I pay bills online and I am the only one who carries the debit card. My husband carries cash and I carry the card. Works really well for us.

The only thing I use a check for is when a particular company doesn't have a "one time" payment option. I do not like to have "automatic" payments because I don't like companies sticking their sticky fingers in my money!!!! So they just get a check in the mail!!!
-
I have not written a check in over 2 years. I don't really see the purpose of them anymore... even to just send money to person either a gift card or PayPal. Why waste the paper??
-
I do. Just not crazy about so many people having access to my cards. If i am going to write a check it makes me stop and think. Do i really want to but this item. with debet and credit cards it is so easy to over spend. Besides it is just another way of keeping record of everything.
-
yes, just a few a month, used to be many more.
-
I rarely write checks one or two a year at the most. I always use online bill pay or my debit card. My son has of late become concerned about the debit card because his got stolen not physically stolen but someone made a copy of it using one of those skimmers somehow. It stinks.

NO i have not "written" a check in years. Money orders and bill pay electronically is what i do now
-
No, and to be 100% honest..I have NEVER written out a personal check!!! I like to use cash or my debit card and now I have been using my PayPal card a lot
-
Sometimes I do, if its my last resort.
-
I write only a few each month for items bought locally, church, etc. and for bills that require complicated procedures to pay online. The price of stamps is pricing USPS out of the market, especially now that paying online is easy and offers free transactions.
-
I write very few checks anymore ... Most of my bill are auto pay or I pay online .. much more convenient
-
I haven't used checks in a long time. But I realized that I needed one when I went to the doctor. I did not have cash on me so I said to bill me. I have to get a check from someone to send to the doctor. I guess I will give the money to my father and have him write out a check. I don't find the need to use checks anymore.
-
Oh no...
No checks...
Have one book for when you need to set up bills online...
Happy Earnings
-
Very rare. I mainly use my debit card
-
i use checks to pay my rent to my landlord and to pay my parents their co pay for watching my son when i have to work.
-
i'm 42 years old and i should be writing checks to pay bills and stuff but i still live with my mom and she does all that, the only thing i know is how to write a check
-
I do for bill paying, but not when out at stores or restaurants.
-
I've had problems accessing my bank online so....
Yes, I ordered checks and I pay my own bills. It's okay because paying bills and managing my resources is a task that I enjoy.
-
yes i still write checks. im still able to do that at my age thank god
-
I only use checks for when I need to send in for a bill and it isn't automated. I still write one for the rent, magazine subscription, utilities... Although I never write one in a store because a debit card is so much simpler.
-
I only write 1 or 2 checks each month, my health insurance won't allow me to pay online or from my bank account.
-
I've only written checks to pay rent. I don't order them though. I just use the free one's that came with my checking account. My landlord will probably start accepting cards before I run out, so there's no need to. I used my card for most things. I rarely use cash anymore either.
-
I learned writing a check before, to pay for my school lunch in middle school (used my father's check book and he reviews and signs it, he gets angry at me if I waste more then I should... so I learned pretty fast)... Then I switch to money order and then debit card... Never seen someone used checks anymore (maybe for business but idk)
-
i use them sometimes but not as much as i use to. its better just to use cash, i like cash. only use checks to paid my bills.
-
Sometimes we do write a checks but very rarely. Most of our bills are automatically deduct to our account.
-
Yea it is so easy to just swipe a card, that is why there is so much fraud today. I still use checks for as much as I am able to use them because I like to have the record. There was a case last year that I could check my records and prove that it was paid and cashed because I used checks to pay it. If I had used a card my financial institution would have charged me to go back more that 30 days to monitor my activity. I know it sounds "old fashion" but, "old fashion" still works better than new technology in some instances, there is too much fraud in the automated system. I was in IT ever since they called it IT.
-
I know what you mean, i got married in 2007 and bought only 1 box before that with my last name and I am only on my first pad of those checks. I use my debit card and pay all my bills online.
-
I do write checks for some bills that I can't pay online, and also if I want to give some money for birthdays, etc., especially if I am sending it by mail.
-
Not much anymore... billpay and e-checks are taking over...
-
I prefer to pay with my check card. Much easier.
-
The only time I write checks is if they are the only payment method accepted. I use either my debit card or PayPal for 99% of purchases, or maybe even cash.
-
Occasionally. I mostly pay for things online.
-
I still use checks to pay my rent, that's about it.....
-
I can't remember the last time I wrote a check. In fact I don't remember how!(just kidding). The was a time when I wrote several checks a week.
Oops! I guess I just showed my age!!!
-
I almost never write checks.I pay most of my bills online and I never did carry my checkbook with me,so I never got into the habit of writing checks at stores.I got curious about this a couple of days ago and went through my checkbook to see how many I've written lately.I have only written 6 checks in the past year.
-
I write about two checks a month. This is much less though than I used to write.
-
Its sad but writing checks for me has become a thing of the past.... every now and then I do write one, but it's so much easier using debit!!!
-
i hate standing behind someone writing a check. Just use a card.
-
I rarely do write checks anymore, but one needs to keep them for emergencies that can appear. You never know...
