I haven't had a job in years (was laid off my job in December 2003) and did a temp job to make sure I got help in 2005; it lasted 6 months. Yet I managed to make it this far, thanks to the Lord. I lucked up last November and got some work at my church. While it does not pay a lot, it helps me pay my bills and gives me something to do to make myself useful. I will be 55 a week from now, and intend to register into the senior job program. God is in the blessing business. I have been going to school since June 2, 2009 and have 3 courses to go to get my Bachelor's degree in Accounting and my minor degree in Information Systems from Ashford University. I am designated to be through December 2, 2013. I know it was the Lord, and He got my back. He may not be there when you want Him to, but He is always right on time. While I love the fact that I have a husband, I like having my own money, so I do sites like Fusion Cash to make some extra money. Besides, my name is on the check.

Idk. Right now I am pretty frustrated. I have lost 2 jobs in the past year. Nothing seems to ever work out. I am in a bad mood all the time from the stress. I thought I had a job (not worth a lot but it paid) 2 weeks ago. But I have yet to be able to start working. They supposedly approved my unemployment a week ago but I have yet to receive any pay even though they say they deposited it in my bank account last week. But it never made it to there. But I have to wait another week before I can even report it as a missing check.
I really hope things work out for you with that. I can definitely see how frustrated you are. :)

I'm glad you are able to make enough to cover your bills - that's a stress reliever, for sure! That is wonderful that you are getting your Bachelor's degree soon!!! It's a lot of hard work, but you are achieving a big goal doing that!!! I hope everything goes well for you! :)

I'm in a similar situation as a couple of you. I am grateful God has provided a part time opportunity, job wise and medical wise, for a few months. Now I'll be able to pay my medical bills and procedures, dr. bills, and my prescriptions.
I also just received official word that I have been funded a grant to cover a couple of my major expensive asthma medications, including asthma infusions I have to have once a month!!! I was going to have to come off of them because of not being able to afford them, but now I will be helped and able to continue them. A big relief for me, since the infusions have helped to get my asthma/allergies issue under better control, which has given me a more improved quality of life!

I'm sorry to hear about your husband's neck, arm, and back. Thank you for sharing what God has done for your family, through all of that.

Amen! It is so refreshing to see someone praising God for blessings!!

it's amazing how god works in mysterious ways a few weeks ago i planned to do something that fell through and i was so disappointed and now sitting back and thinking about it i would have been perceived as a fool and now i am grateful that it didn't work out.

I'm glad things worked out with that. Sometimes we realize, after the fact, how what we thought we wanted or needed turned out to be the total opposite. Especially when better or bigger opportunities come up instead. :)

too many people pray and get answers than forget where the answer came from. All good things come from God!

The Lord works in his time and usually yours and his sometimes coincide at the same time. I give thanks to the Lord everyday for what I do have. I stress a lot about trying to pay my bills.
-
I'm also thank full cause I got a job last week. :angel11:

That is wonderful news! God is good all the time. Have a great day!

When things are going bad for me or other people, I always say that it could be worse. I don't personally get into it having to do with the lord or anything though...
-
i give my thanks on a regular even though sometimes its hard to be thankful
-
I thank the Lord constantly because his plan isn't always ours. But what he does is give you the best. All you have to do is believe and thank him whenever things happen that help you go forward. I moved here because a doctor where I used to live told me I was dying. I moved and a doctor here in the new state saved my life. that was 13years ago. In fact I am stronger then when we first came here. I couldn't even climb stairs but now I can run up and down them. Thank you Lord you have blessed me my whole life in many different ways. This is just one of the many things our Lord has done for us.

I finally landed a small part time job myself. Haven't really started, lots of training, but am thankful for anything. Every little bit helps, just like FC. Thank you God!

Prayers really do work. I went through radiation earlier this year and I my brother had a stroke 600 miles away with no family around. God took the cancer away with only about 1/3 of the treatments, I went and got him and got him back to a point where he is able to do for himself. God did not talk to me verbally, but I became aware that the cancer was gone and all tests confirm that it was gone!
-
congrats on the cancer being gone, and glad your brother doing better,i prayed my daughter would get help with her addictions and even though its in jail but they are helping her get clean ,i love you Lord,Thank You!

I have been out of work for six months now but there really isn't much in this little town where I can work we only have about 700 people. I don't know what to do, I would like my job back I was there a long time and I got fired because I fired someone after he was continuously missing and when I did find him he said he was going to Lunch and he had a real attitude with me and I went to the upper management and they said give him more time well we did and they told me to let him go so I did he shows up the next day for his last pay check and he started fighting with me and it look like his was going to punch me so i punch back well his friends there say I through the first punch so I got fired. I have worked there for over 12 years.
-
so much for getting clean my mom and her friends got her out on bond again and she back to the same old stuff i just dont know what to do?
-
That's usually how it works. Sometimes it just takes patience and the ability to see a new door opening. :D
-
i have learned patience is the only course with some things thanks for reminding me
