I am so excited! The last 2 days have been 2 of my best days in a long time! Three days ago, my freind gave me a very expensive hand carved wooden African man that stands 2 feet high. When she handed it to me, she said this will bring you very good luck in the next few days, and it will be lucky for you. The day after I got it, I went to the casino with only $20. I was down to $3.25, and the machine was going crazy and the lady next to me said I won big. To make a long story short, it was big for me... I had just won $438.00!! I took the money and left with my sister in law! Then today I got a call from the school superintendents office. They hired me today!! I filled an app out a few weeks ago but never thought i would get hired being out of work for so long! best news I have heard in long time! WOOHOOOO!!! :angel11: :wave: :thumbsup: I have an angel looking over me!

I am happy for you. I would like to get some luck like yours. I could use it too. My sister called me yesterday and said she has run out of money at school and has 4 more courses to go. She is going to owe $2,000 to the school. In addition, we both go to the same school, Ashford University, and she called to let me know that, even though I leave there in December, I won't be able to graduate with my classmates until May 2014 in Illinois. I ran out of money too, and I currently owe them $951.00. I pray that I get a job so I can pay mine off. I don't want to owe them at all. I am looking for a scholarship or some kind of grant that will erase that money off me. :o :o :o :wave:

msmoneybags48, If I had the money, I would definitely GIVE you the money. I will pray for you both and hopefully praying will help you both. Good luck and keep me updated please. :thumbsup: Keep your hopes up and you can never tell what may happen. I couldnt of got my money at a better time. I also needed $50 to get finger printed by the school and didnt know where I was going to get it and bang! It was from the casino! So PLEASE do NOT give up hope and faith! ;)

And ya know, that is so stupid that people don't want to hire you because you have a gap in your work history. It's like, the economy sucks, I got laid off, there are no jobs, I couldn't find another one. But, I realize I have to say that only in my head.

I don't think you can get a scholarship for money you already owe to the school. Hope you can find one that will tho.

I'm in a hard spot, too. I sure hope things change for the better for both you and your sister. Keep hanging in there and doing the best you can. I wish you the best. :)

Congrats on your good fortune. As voiced by others I could use some of that luck. My concern is not financially related, but health as I have family who is ill and the cumulative stresses of work and house repairs make life very difficult.
