Call me old fashion!! But it still a bit odd to see people wear their pajamas in public!!
-
I've gotten use to seeing pajama bottoms or lounge pants when walk people are walking around. I've also seen people wear complete pajamas for a long time when filling up gas at the warehouse gas station in the morning. I don't think I will ever do this myself, however.
-
I can't believe that people do that. I have been trying for my disability for 10 years, my mother say go to court like you are everyday which at home I am in pajamas but I can't believe in where them in public I see people all the time going in the PJ's. I have to brush my hair and where cloths.
-
I think its tacky to go out with any sleepwear, that includes hair rollers and head scarfs.
-
I agree I think it looks so tacky to wear you pjs in public or slippers as boots c'mon lol
-
I got used to seeing it in college, but it's still pretty tacky.
-
I like the idea, most people work from home now, so why not be able to wear jammies in public.
-
I guess I live...and...let live because I don't care what people wear. I've also been known to go shopping in things that some people would only wear around the house. If I'm comfortable and modest I don't care what others think about what I'm wearing.

I think its very casual and laid back to wear pj's in public
-
I use to wonder why do people think it is ok to ware their pj's out in public.
Now it does not bother me it's some of the everyday outfits that I wonder about, lol.
-
I wear pajama bottoms in public....if I have to go to the grocery store or running errands....
-
I think it is a requirement in Walmart, I see tons of people that wear PJ's there. :D
-
I have to admit, I'm an old fogey too. It bothers me. I remember when I started seeing it when my son was in school - girls coming to school in their pajamas. Now it seems everywhere I go, I see people like that. I won't even go out and weed in my pajamas, let alone go to the grocery store.
-
Just another example of the dumbing down of America.
-
I don't think your old fashioned elysee24. I think you just know what is proper, or you are not lazy. I just don't know what is wrong with some people these days. How long does it take to throw on some clothes for goodness sakes? :dontknow:
-
I don't see it too often as I don't leave the house too early in the morning and people are still in their pjs. But I think it's kinda weird to see people wearing their pajamas in public. It doesn't bother me but just kinda odd to see.
-
No you are not old fashioned. I'm not a fan of pajamas in public. Just think pajama wearing people roll out of bed and go to the meat section of the grocery store. That is unsanitary!
-

I think it is odd too elysee. Even though there isn't a "dress code", seems people know the difference between sleepwear and clothing.
I do a lot of work at home online, and I still get dressed each day.
There are a lot of other "casual" clothes to wear besides pjs.
-
I think it's odd to wear pjs out in public. However, I'd rather see someone in pjs than in short shorts. :dontknow:
-
Wearing pajamas in public is not a big deal because people are going to dress like they feel. It's better than seeing people who barely wear clothes or those who wear clothes 2 sizes to small and that includes all sizes of people.
-
My little brother does that. He wears pajama pants (and a tee shirt) to the convenient store for late night snacks often, lol.
-
I do it all the time, especially when it's warm outside. I wear my plaid leisure pants (that are often mistaken for PJ's) and a T-shirt and feel perfectly modest with everything covered, but it's comfortable. My face is washes, my teeth are brushed and my hair is combed, but I have even had kids come up and ask. "Is that your PJ's?" and I just laugh. If the truth were known, when I sleep I take them off and I would NOT go out in public that way.
-
Lot's of people does wear pj's in public i got used to it now.
-
I have seen people do it and I am not really a huge fan of it. At the same time I tend to say to each their own on things like this. But for me, I don't ever wear pajamas, so it wouldn't be an option for me anyway.
-
I will have to go along with being old fashion to but my two daughters will wear there bottom pajama's out to run to the store but I just cannot do it.
-
Being LAZY, pure and simple!
-
go to walmart after 9pm and that is all you see. people in their pj's :( Then there are the ones that go out in te daytime with them on. That is just sad !!!!
-
thats a practical joke, there is no way in the world that wearing pajamas in public is sane
-
No, I would never wear pajamas in public -- it seems far to weird. I once wore athletic type pants and an old sweater to a bar to pick up a girl I was giving a ride to work at the time because I was sick and felt too tired to change back into my work clothes -- i.e. khackis and some sort of nice collared shirt.
-
I find it terribly lazy. I will bum around the house in jammies all day, but always make sure to be presentable before leaving the house.
-
I agree with the "anti-pajamas in public" people.
I also wonder why it's now considered high fashion to have some part of your underwear showing. Girls let the bra strap or thong show, and the guys let their jockeys show.
Where did that come from? ???
:fish:

I think its fine who are wear people go out basically naked these days. I wear my pajamas sometimes at night to go to gas station or drive through or around campus not going far its my choice and seriously long comfy pajamas is way more exceptable to me then teens with there butts hanging out of their shorts
-
I do it myself but each to their on. I hope they wear the complete set ;D
-
I remember when I was young and older women would go out to shop with hair rollers in. I think the PJ thing is just a little too lazy looking.
-
no i think its wrong to wear pajamins in publis. they are for nite time. thats my oponion.
-
Better PJ's than nothing at all... ;)
-
I refuse to wear my PJ's in public.
-
I couldnt do it. I would feel way to uncomfortable!
-
Considering that my PJs consist of some cotton athletic shorts and a t-shirt (if I wear any shirt), I've been known to go in public without changing into something else first. Usually I only do this on my day off (when I feel it's OK to be a little lazy) or if I'm sick (although I hardly ever go in public when I'm sick; if I'm too sick to go to work, then I'm too sick to go anywhere). I will put on socks and shoes, however; I feel uncomfortable if I go out with only slippers on, even if it's going thru a drive-thru. Oh, and if I was too lazy the night before to put on my normal PJs and I just went to sleep in my boxers, I'll completely change (a fresh set of boxers and all) before going out.
-
don't worry you are not alone, i feel that they did not even look into the bathroom let alone touch water just, left the house funky breathe and all.
-
It is very tacky!!! :angry7:
-
I agree!! It looks that someone is too lazy to get dressed. I guess I am old fashioned also because to me it just looks like someone just got out of bed!!
-

Not sure about the girl "fashion", but I recently saw a clip from "The Doctors" where it was explained the low riding pants "fashion" came from prisons. Prisoners would pull down their pants to expose their underwear to let other prisoners know they were looking for some "action" (and I don't mean fighting...). Nice that this behavior has spilled over to become this new young generations fashion statement, eh?
-
Could never leave my house in pj's - hard enough going out in shorts, lol! :bunny:
-
I don't think it looks good for people to wear pajamas in public. I have seen people wear them in Wal-Mart. I use to work at a bowling alley and one day someone came in there with their pajama pants on.
-
I am not comfortable wearing jammies in public. I will pull on a pair of jeans and a nice t shirt, always make sure my hair is fixed, but that is the way my mom taught me. Self respect. I care about my appearance, there are so many that don't now. It is scary the way some people dress, makes you wonder ! :dontknow:
-
I wear my pj bottoms in public too. They are my comfort clothes. :binkybaby:
-
yea that's silly ;D
-
No I don't wear my pajamas in public, I think it's kind of trashy.
-
depends going to walmart, not me though
-
I don't see anything wrong with it. If I'm just going out for 5 minutes to put gas in my car, then why not? Even if it's to go to the store to pick up some milk or something. Why would I change into regular clothes just to change back into pjs in just a few minutes. I think people need to mind their own business. As long as it's not indecent or filthy, why should it matter?
That's just my two cents.
-

Yeah if it actually is pj's they are wearing... :dontknow:guess it could be worse :dontknow:
-
I dont mind wearing Pj's outside but I don't own a pair ,But I from time to time, I head out with briefs on.
-
I will wear mine only if I am moving my car out of the driveway, other than that, hey to each their own, if one wants to wear their PJ's no biggie to me :dontknow:
-
I wear pj's sometime when I go grocery shopping in Walmart
-
I don't wear my PJs out but it doesn't bother me when others do. PJs are better better than some of the outfits I have seen people in!
-

Some PJ pants make a statement, but I would not be wearing them in public either. Some things are just taboo. I live in the country, so I do go outside in my PJ's. But I do not go to Walmart at any hour in my pajamas. No Way!

I do but just to go get my mail from the mailbox lol
-
I think there is a pro and con to this. If they look like pj's then I say don't wear them in public unless it to some kind of event where you have to. For instance our sunday school does a pajama day where the kids and teachers have to wear theirs but most of the teachers bring a change of clothes if we are going out after. Now I do have a pair of pj's that are solid black and do not even look like pj's so I do wear them out in public. I also had a capri set that didn't look like pj's and I would wear it all the time. (till it got to big with my weight loss.)
-
I generally don't sleep in actual pajamas so I will wear the same clothes I sleep out in public because it's usually a tank top/t-shirt and shorts/yoga pants
I have seen some women at the store in cartoon pajamas, slippers and a head scarf without a care in the world. I think that's ridiculous
-
no. Sometimes jamas are just comfy. Who cares what people think.

Hey! Congrats on the weight loss. That's a biggie.

Amen, I agree wholeheartedly! I can't stomach going to local grocery store and observing multiple people bending over in pajamas showing *bleep* crack. I picked up a friend from Union station and thought a pajama party was taking place...when did this become acceptable? Observed adults coming into hotel restaurant still in their pajamas - it's lunch time! It seems to be the norm when visiting Walmart....lol
-
I know, I wonder were they taken from home as children in their jammies the reason they can just walk out the house like that.....
-
i agree.if you go out in public, please put on some clothes..people today have no respect for themselves.i have some older people wearing them out too..my mama never would have let me do that..even church i have seen people wearing anything..in my day..females wore a dress,skirt..males wore dress slacks and a dress shirt..people just don't care..
-

LOL. Good one. :star:

:) Depending on the sleep wear Definitely...I mean, you don't want to go out in lingerie...that would be ignorant :angry7:...If I didn't feel like getting dressed & i just wanted to relax i would just throw on my sport pants and a T-Shirt ;)...u can at least go out in this attire if you would need to...It's the best of both worlds ;)...catch every1 later... :peace: :peace: :peace: :peace:
-
I guess it's the style now for some people to wear their pjs and slippers in public, just like some people wear their underwear as outerwear.
-
my sister wears pjs in public. I can't do that pj's are for bed not wearing around outside
-
I think wearing pajamas in public is AWESOME!!! i do it all the time, i probably wear my pajama pants more to the grocery store than normal clothes!!
-
I agree with you, I work at a school and sometimes I get mothers going to pick there children up in pajamas. Call me old fashion or what, but I think thats not right. Pajamas are for sleeping and staying at home. ;D
-
Some pajamas are so well made that many people are wearing them in public. Others cannot afford winter or ski pants...so they wear flannel pants over their winter long johns just to stay warm.
-
I sleep in my boxer shorts, so my pajamas are my underwear..lol so there is not ever going to be a danger of me wearing my pajamas in public
-
i wore pajama pants to work 10years ago then old navy copied me i was wearing them because my stomach was swollen bad and they had nice patterns my employer was fine with it but my spouse hated it so i stopped yesterday i saw a young girl wearing man briefs i think thats going to far :)
-
I have two pairs of pajamas, but I wear them where they are intended to be worn: in the house. I can see it if you are going to throw out the garbage or check the mail. I don't get people being too lazy to change into their clothes before leaving the house. My husband wears his pajamas when he answers the door and to bed. Old fashioned when it comes to this? I think not. ???
-
I worked overnight at a large store and so many people came in there pjs. I guess they figured no one would see them but we all do. Id be so afraid my car might break down on the way somewhere and I wouldn't want to have to call for help and they see me that way. If you can take the time to put pajamas on you can take the time to get dressed
-
i personally think it shouldn't matter. ive definitely run downstairs to the corner store in my pajama pants a time or two.
-
I work at Wal mart and see people come in in thier PJ's all the time. It does not look good for them or us who have to see them. I have always wore my good clothes out in public. Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.
-
If you are under five (5) years of age it's perfectably acceptable, but if you are not, then I don't think it's acceptable at all...
-
I thin people should only wear there pajamas at home! :icon_rr:
-
I think that lounge pants have become everyday outer wear. Comfort is supreme these days.
-
I think its tacky to go out with any sleepwear, that includes hair rollers and head scarfs.
I so agree with this. OMG just tacky.
