Just an FYI to anyone that completes the paid to call offers. It states you will NOT receive a call back or calls from people, and that incorrect. I called for information about auto insurance through Allstate. They have called me 5 times a day for the past week. When I go to answer the phone they hang up on me. So far, this is the only paid to call offer I've experienced this with. Just wanted to FYI everyone on the auto insurance quote calls.

Thanks for the post. Did you give them you phone number? Some paid to call instructions say that you can tell them that your phone number doesn't accept incoming calls. I tried a few calls and that's what I tell them and I'll call back if I decide to use them.

I haven't tried the paid to call tasks yet. Mainly because I have limited minutes. Thanks for letting us all know.

I have done several Paid To Calls and have, not yet, had a problem like you have mentioned. I have found out from personal experience that insurance agents are very pushy. I know how annoying it is to get these excessive calls and I hope that your problem will get resolved soon. :BangHead:

I will NEVER do the paid to call offers. Its not worth the $2 to be hassled for me.
-
I have completed several paid to call offers and have not had any problems with call backs. I love these offers!
-
Sorry to hear that, I haven't had the same problem. I just asked questions and didn't give any information. Don't let these guys hassle you.

Thanks for the info. :)

I once called and I spoke with a lady and she was so mad right away, she was accusing me of calling them 30 times and she was forcing me to give my social security number otherwise she will not entertain me. I just hang up. Thats freaky.

I noticed this too when I did the paid to call offers. It did not happen on Fusion Cash paid to call offers. It happened when I participated in the paid to call offers on Clixsense. One time I called about the price information for ADT security after I have given my personal information. Then one day, I received several phone calls from telemarketers from ADT security. I have told them many times not to call me again. I told them I was interesting in purchasing their service, I call them instead. Be very careful about giving your personal information especially your primary phone number. If you are going to participate in any paid to call offers that asks for your personal information, I recommend giving an alternate phone number instead of your primary one.

First thing one can do is to set their phone to NOT give out your phone number to the person you are calling, this is not the default setting on your phone system. Unless you disable it your phone number is automatically provided to the recipient of your call. Next you can tell any telemarketer that you are not to be called back, and that they will be placed on your 'do not call' list. These folks usually take specific note that you have intentions of putting them on the don't call registry as their company is subject to fines and other penalties if they do call. Just some thoughts...
Personally I have not done any of these offers so I can't speak from experience on these.

I Did A Lot Of Paid To Call Offers. I Think Maybe I Got One Call Back In The Past 6 Months. I Use Google Voice. Your Phone May Ring But They Go Right To Voicemail :peace:

Thanks so much for the warning. However, the optimal solution to this problem is to aquire a prepaid phone and associated phone number and set up the voicemail and everything else and then give them that phone number.
It works quite well for many things on these websites from the paid phone calls, to offers and request for info, so that you main phone is not blown up.
-
Wow that really sucks. Thanks for the FYI.

That is why I haven't done any of the phone offers, I hate telemarketers calling our home, most of them are very rude when I ask them to take our number out of their system and I also have my home and cell number on the government Do Not Call List, but somehow we still get calls. Try keeping a log of their calls and tell them you are going to report them, that has stopped some of ours.

Thanks for the post. I was wondering what " paid to call " was all about. Now I know. :BangHead:

Thanks for starting this topic.I have never done any Paid To Call offers.I have never had a legitimate interest in any of the services. Also,I've always been suspicious about giving my number to any of the companies sponsoring those offers. Not only will they call you,but you never know who else they give or sell your number to.I already get enough telemarketing calls.I don't need any more.
-
Thanks, that why I have never done the paid to calls, try my best to avoid telemarketers and even though I've signed up for the do not call list they somehow still seem to get through, so I avoid giving out my phone number as much as possible!
-
I have never had a problem that I know of. I think you can usually tell them you are not at a number that they can call you back at, but if you're calling a toll free number they can see your number even if you have it blocked so IDK. :dontknow: I still get telemarket calls all the time. I usually just don't answer if I don't recognize the #. They can always leave a message so shouldn't miss any important calls. Really hate the computer ones though and the ones where you have to say hello 3 times before they click in to pitch you... How rude
You can always do like Old Buddy advises though and pitch them on FC.

I have done several paid to call numbers and I guess I've been lucky - never received any calls from any of them! If it continues I would put them on the do not call list and tell them you are doing that and if it continues you will file a complaint. That usually always works - good luck!

I have not tried the Paid to Call offers yet. I have prepaid cell phone and I don't want to waste my minutes just in case they do keep calling. It would take up my minutes and if I had an emergency I would have no time left.
-
I called on one about insurance and sure enough i started getting one call after another. So now if a number comes up not listed in my phone book i just reject it.
-
I haven't done a lot of paid to call offers yet. So far I've done I think 3 offers. I haven't got a lot of calls but a lot of spam emails from the paid to call places. They constantly send me email advertisements. I don't like telemarkers that is for sure. I get a lot of them already. I just say I'm not home would you like to give her a message.

Paid to calls are by far the bast bang for the buck on GPT sites. A couple other sites I belong have more paid to calls and pay a bit higher. I wish there were 1000 paid to call offers. It's the best way to make money that I know of on these sites.
-
Thats the reason I do not try paid to calls. I dont want calls back on my phone

??? Wow, that's crazy!!! I definitely wouldn't want to deal with someone like that! She obviously needs to be in a different line of work! :dontknow:
-
I haven't done any paid to call's yet. using google voice to place the calls is a good idea, thanks for sharing that tip!
-
This is why I shy away from Paid To Call! I truely am interested in auto ins quotes and some of the other services, but ins salespeople can be really aggressive and annoying! ???
-
while the ptc offers are great, I've tried several of them...I stopped doing them after having the same problem. it was a hair loss thing, said they wouldn't have your number and wouldn't call back. not only did they get my number without my telling them, they called several times a day as well. that was after telling them I had decided I wasn't interested after all. the money is good but it really just isn't worth the harassment.

Those don't work for me.
