Title: Have You Ever Noticed This?
Post by: minioncookies on September 10, 2013, 10:00:23 am
Has anyone else ever noticed that when your doing something and your listening to music it gets done faster?
I have...

Music is basically a big part of my life.. I surround myself without music because i think the world would be bland without music..
When i have to do things around the house are yardwork i usually grab my phone and listen to music.. then when i get done.. i'm suprised because the job is over.. and nothing more to do.. then i always find myself looking for something else to do.. And of course i bring my music.. and end up finishing that pretty fast too.. LOL.. i am just wondering if anyone else has noticed that with music you get lost in your own little world and end up finishing before you know it..

If you haven't tried it before you should try it and let me know how it works for you..
I love doing yard work with music.. When i forget my music.. it always seems like a long time...
But when i'm mowing with my music it seems like.. The job gets done faster.. HAHA Thank you music :)

I disagree; I'm easily distracted by music and noises when I'm working on something that requires concentration!

I find some music really soothing and others like rap just down right get on my nerves. And sometimes i am sitting on the only one that has not been rattled and sure don't need that kind of music. I like country, and gospel.

Numerous studies have been done on music and its effect on performance and, in general it has been proven that music is good motivational device. I especially enjoy listening to music with few or no words, such as classical or jazz, when doing things around or outside the house. It is the music itself that I find motivating.

Well sometimes.. not always but sometimes yes this does seem to be the case for me depending on what i'm doing because even with music sometimes it feels as slow as a snail. :bunny:

I have noticed that music has an impact on my focus and mood.  However if my mind isn't in the right mind set music can be rather bothersome to me.  For instance.  If my to do list is caught up and I'm at peace I enjoy surfing the net while listening to country.  However if my attention needs to be fully focused on what I'm doing sometimes listening to classical diverts my attention.  Or if we're out at the fire relaxing and music I don't like is on - I get annoyed and bored.  I just can't relax with all the noise than.  I think I have adult ADD and haven't had it diagnosed.

You should absolutely work the Radio Loyalty on FC if you are not already doing it.  With all the music types they offer, you can work fast to your heart's content and earn money while doing it.
