does anyone have a good recipe?
a few different banana bread recipes have been handed down through my family.. but i always run into the problem of them being too dry :/ i'd like a recipe for MOIST banana bread..

It's okay but I'm not feeling crushed pineapple in my banana bread; I only like it in my carrot cake. We all have different taste so you might like it more than I do. Good luck and Bon apetit :)

BANANA BUTTERMILK BREAD
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. mashed bananas
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs. Stir baking soda into buttermilk and add to mixture. Add bananas and flour, salt and baking powder. Mix well. Stir in nuts. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.

alright, i'm a little put off by the pineapple idea too ;p i thought maybe you'd tried it and liked it.. haha.

i hadn't thought much about BUTTERMILK in my banana bread.. that makes quite a bit of sense, actually.

My mom's got a good recipe for it somewhere in the house. The recipe was her mom's recipe. I'll try and find it and get back to you.

ahh, i'm sure google does have quite a few recipes.
i just thought that maybe someone on here would have a recipe that they had tried and liked. an actual opinion.

I hate banana bread and LOVE cheesecake...especially the rasberry swirl cheesecake at the Olive Garden or the New York cheesecake with strawberries....mmmmmmm :wave:

haha, i don't LOVE banana bread myself :/ but several family members do.. i do most of the baking around here, so i thought i'd round up a few recipes ;p
