Anyone else out there suffer from headaches that just won't go away?
-
I don't suffer from headache and I hope you will find a solution to yours.
-
I have bad headaches when I am doing some kind of detox or something like that.
-
Me! I know that is depressing. Hope there is something to stop it. I check my brain and the doctor said there is nothing in it. :)

Have you ever tried Frankincense essential oil? Its a bit pricy but you only need a drop or two placed on each temple, middle of your forehead, or at the base of your skull. It is nice because its a natural way to improve your health without adding chemicals.
You can take a look here if you have questions.

I hate when someone tells me to go to the doctor, but have you been checked for high blood pressure?
I was diagnosed with high blood pressure 5 years ago, before that I had headaches all the time, it took about a year to finally find the right dosage, and the right prescription that worked for me.
Could be caused from stress, high blood pressure, migraines, countless other things
Hope you find some relief tho!

You may be suffering from a Migraine. I don't know If this will work after the headache already started but I get migraines and when I feel a headache coming on I eat black olives and It works on me. Try it if it doesn't help now the next time when you feel one coming on eat the black olives, let me know if it works!

Thanks for the info. Yes, I have high BP and take meds for that, but when I check my BP during these headaches it is only slightly high. I have other medical conditions but each doc says something different. I am guessing there is some sort of trigger for this specific headache, but it lasts for days and is very painful (frontal lobe region).
Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

I do get migraines but they don't last long and have other symptoms along with them, so I am not sure what these specific headaches are. I have never heard about the black olives though. Caffeine usually helps me some, but never heard of olives. I will have to try. Thanks for sharing the tip and thanks for replying.

I don't suffer from headaches, but you should be checked out my your doctor to make sure nothing is serious wrong.

I have migraines five days out of the week. Doctors have performed every type of test possible. They can't seem to find anything wrong, or the possible cause of my migraines. I've been taking medication on a regular basis.

I usually suffer from headaches too...nothing really seems to work other than eventually going to sleep.

Yes for longer than a year. I think it was related to depression. You might want to try to keep a journal of important information about when and how long your headaches are. Might help.

No. You probably don't want to hear what I have to say. I know a guy who kept having head aches and nothing would stop them. The doctor wouldn't do anything but give him hydros. When they finally (after a year) decided to do something (he did have pretty good insurance) they done a scan and found out he had a tumor that was in his brain and that is what was causing the headaches. Doesn't mean that is what's wrong with you. But if you are constantly having headaches that will not quit I would insist on something besides pain meds.

Thanks for sharing. I know what you mean about having pain meds throw at you. I really dont take them. I just want to know the reason, you know? I have MS and have had many MRIs so it isn't a tumor (at least not one that is showing up anyway).

That is sort of what I am afraid of. I do get migraines but these headaches are different. Sometimes when I have them my BP is higher, but not much. Docs just give me pain meds which I dont take. I have to think for a living, i cant be loaded up on narcotics. Sigh...

caffiene headaches maybe? I didnt even think of that on my previous post. I weaned myself off of soda and it would give me headaches several days in a row each time I broke down and had one

There are many reasons for headaches. I used to have frequent headaches. I went to a chiropractor to get checked out - and found out my neck was curving forward vs curving back. That was my main headache source. Having my neck with the wrong curve was putting too much pressure on the brain stem triggering the headaches. After getting treatment for a few months, the headaches mostly disappeared.
Then I started noticing other types of headaches. Caffeine withdrawal headaches can occur if you drink too much caffeinated beverages without sufficient water to keep yourself hydrated - sodas, coffee, teas...even headache medicines. If you are taking OTC medication for your headaches, check the ingredients. I had a friend who was taking Tylenol for his chronic headaches - he took the pill, the headache went away, but then came back a few hours later. Turns out this Tylenol product's main ingredient was caffeine, so when the drug wore off, he started getting a caffeine headache, then took more pills. It was a vicious cycle.
Diet can contribute to it - sometimes certain foods can trigger headaches. May want to try tracking if there is any correlation there. My dad would get migraines if he ate dark chocolate. Some enzymes in the dark chocolate triggered the reaction.
Dehydration causes headaches. Are you getting sufficient water?
I get tension headaches - I feel it start in my shoulders and neck, then it runs up into my head if I don't do some stretching and relaxation to relieve the tension source. I also found with my increase in activity levels, I didn't have enough magnesium intake which caused chronic muscle spasms which also contributed to the headaches. Now I take some quality magnesium supplements and those spasms almost never return.
Not sure if any of these relate to your situation. Hopefully if you haven't thought to check for any of these, it'll give you more things to investigate.
