raw fruits and veggies are great for energy and great for the body. I recently started taking the Acai berry suppliment but its also stated that blueberries and pomagranite is good too!

how well it works and whatnot.

Maybe you need to try cabbage soup.Sounds crazy I know but it works.I got this from a friend in Louisiana.You will see results in about a week. :wave:

I recently saw an ad for acai berry liquor. I doubt any alcohol will help you drop pounds, but I was wondering what that would taste like. Anybody else seen/tried it?

hmm sounds interesting i know that i'm always told to eat blueberries. also person who wants to lose weight, drink a lot of water ;D

To lose weight:
Calculate Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) here: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/
Calculate daily caloric intake to maintain weight:
If you are sedentary (little or no exercise) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.2
If you are lightly active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.375
If you are moderatetely active (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.55
If you are very active (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days a week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.725
If you are extra active (very hard exercise/sports & physical job or 2x training) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.9
Calculate your caloric intake to lose weight: Subtract 500 from the last calculation.
Now write down how many calories you eat each day and try to get close to your intake to lose weight. Look up calorie content of food online if you don't know.
Also, exercise! HARD exercise, 10-20 minutes per day, every day.
Yes, losing weight requires a lot of work and does not come from some supplement.

all the tips ware good but i need a special magical energy booster, something by the name of "getting my baby to sleep through the night" ;D

My favorite energy boosters are coffee, tea, and VERY dark chocolate. Apricots dried at the very height of their sweetness are also helpful.

Fruits are full of natural sugars. Therefore while they may give you a temporary energy boost all of that sugar turns to carbs which in turn turns to fat. My sons doctor says that he should not have more than 4 -5 ounces of juice a day due to the high sugar content of fruit juices and fruit. He also is allowed 1 other serving of fruit a day the rest of his nutrition is gained through veggies as they have the nutrition that he needs without the addition of extra sugar.
I tried the acai berry and had no results from it as well. Blueberries are full of anitoxidants. So fruits are good but do not over endulge in them if you are trying to lose weight the sugars will hinder your efforts.
