Has anyone done a sleep study before . I have to see a doctor next month for my
Issues. :female:

Nope have never done one ... but might be a great way for me to get a good night's sleep ... my dog would not be able to wake me up ... he is the main reason for me not sleeping well ... LOL

Every sleep study is diffrent. You won't really have to worry about a thing because you will be asleep. They will normally mail you information about the sleep study prior to you going so you know exactly what is going to happen and what to expect. If they don't then when you get their they will give you the information to look over. Their is nothing to be nervous about because you will be asleep. They will observe you while you are alseep and read all types of graphs. ( if they still do this) They will set the room up like a hotel room so you will be more comfortable. I do belive you sleep their all night. Sometimes they can keep you an extra day or two depeding on how long your study will run. It can be anywhere from a day to a week but not to worry because i do belive you only go their at night. So your not cooped up in a room all day anyways. Btw you will be sleeping natrually so you won't have to worry about being put to sleep or any other nonsence like that.. You can always look up the information online if you are nervous and do not know what to expect. People can only give you so much information because their are several diffrent types of sleep studies and they vary from case to case. I was going to type this before but i belive i pressed post instead of preview sorry about that!

I can't speak on this subject b/c I have personally never had one done. Good luck!!!

I've never done one but heard of it. My problem I'm such a hard sleeper that severe weather sirens go off and I don't here them. Maybe I should do that test
-
No I have never done a sleep study before and I would not want anyone to study me while I was sleeping.
-
I think I would be very self-conscious knowing a video camera was focused on me while trying to sleep, but if I had serious sleep issues I probably would be willing to do whatever it takes to get a solution to the problem.

I think I did something like that or similar to sleep study. I believe you will have to submit to a facility where you have to spend the night there. Then they will have a few wires attached to your body and head. The purpose of the study is to see if you are getting enough oxygen while you sleep. That was my case. I don't know what your case is.

I am tired all the time and exhausted. So I beleive I will have the same test. I am not too comfortable with having a camera on me while I am sleep.

I don't think this would work for me. I don't sleep well in strange places. I can't fall asleep on my back (and being hooked up to a bunch of junk I don't see any other way to lay). I would not be able to sleep knowing they were watching me or if the lights from their room were on shining in my eyes.

I heard NASA will pay you something like 18,000 dollars to stay in bed for a few months. You have to do everything in a bed (including going to the bathroom) in order for them to do the study correctly.

I have. They hook you up to lots of little wires and then ask you to go to sleep. Once you finally fall asleep then they wake you up and ask you to get into an uncomfortable position and go back to sleep. You should probably figure on very little sleep and plan the next day with some time for a good nap. Good luck.
