Title: Long Winter Ahead
Post by: rainman306 on October 15, 2013, 12:19:44 am
I live in Wisconsin and looking at the extended weather report it looks like we are done with 70 degree weather this year.  We wont see 70 degree weather again for 5-6 months -- until March or April.

I'm in Michigan, I also am seeing a long winter, but I still have hope that this one will be mild. Maybe a few 70's could sneak in this week or next??

They announced on our news this morning that our weather will be changing after today.  Today will be the last 70° day for a while.  I hate cold weather!

In Wisconsin, and I have checked the historical records, their has never been a 70 degree high in the months of December, January and February.  About the latest 70 degree high has been mid-November and ther earliest 70 degree high the next spring was about the second week of March.

Looking at Accu Weahter's 45 day extended forecast into late November, I see well below average temperatures, so that's why right now I am thinking 5-6 months until good weather again.

It has been so warm here in middle Tennessee.  It is suppose to cool down this week end but it still going to be in the 60's and 70's in the day time.  I am going to set up at a craft show this week end and it is out side and that is going to be good.  Not to cold.  Last year I like to have froze, it was so cold.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I'm from Texas - and here we are sssooo ready to say good-bye to the high temperatures and the harsh humidity. We are  now this week going  into the 70's (maybe for good if lucky).
We are all looking forward to Winter (whatever that might entail here in Texas - most of the time it doesn't mean much)!
Most of us love   it when it snows alittle - lol

I'm in WI too. I don't mind the cooler weather, but a little less snow would be ok.

It's been very mild here in New Jersey, Late 60's - 70's, however the weather is going to get colder tomorrow. I can't complain, it is the end of October.

I'm in PA and it's been in the high 70's, but they are saying starting Monday our temps will drop.  :'(. I hate winter, hopefully we will luck out and have little snow this year.

In Georgia, we haven`t really had a real winter in 3 years, although our winters were never as extreme as Wisconsin`s, we`re used to a couple of months in the 20`s and 30`s

  I am in Southern California, we are still in the mid 80's most days.  We are all pretty much big sissies here when the day time temp's are in the low 60's or lower.      That's why we live here.

I've grown up and still live in WI - that's nothing unusual for this state.  I still remember trick or treating in snow as a kid (yep, snow in October).  Getting down into the 40's/50's for highs in October is about on track - time to do final clean-up in the yard, clean up the leaves, and put plastic on the windows...
