I put milk in mine and some butter after its hot I add a slice or two of velveeta. when its done I take cracker barrel sharp cheese slice it down into quarters, take cheezeits and eat it all together it is sooo yummy

I prefer my tomato soup with just the tomato and basil. No crackers or anything like that for me.

One of my roommates, when I lived off campus way back in the 1970's, used to heat up tomato soup with a mix of milk and water, add a little velveeta cheese and then would pour the hot soup into a bowl with oval Ritz crackers. She called this "Blushing Bunnies". I make my tomato soup, "Blushing Bunnies" style, to this day.

I simply load it down with way too much salt, and grab a couple of pieces of toast and have at it

I make tomato soup with milk but I've never thought of adding any of those other things except I do load it down with crackers. I'll have to try cheese sometime. I'm partial to a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup so maybe cheese in the soup would be good.

That sounds so delish. Mind you I have never cooked home made tomato soup before. It was always straight from the can. Lots of cheese seems like the key to your soup. I will have to try this one out if it's ok with you thanks.

I just take an inexpensive can of Campbell's tomato soup and mix it with another can of milk, heat it up, add crackers and serve it with toasted cheese sandwiches. Your idea of adding the cheese directly to the soup sounds good and I will have to try that.

When I was a child we ate canned tomato soup and always added water as it was concentrate in those days. Even now I do not like my tomato soup made with milk.

I use mostley water with maybe a little cream if handy. Do like it with some cheese. But will grill a grilled sandwich with it. And i like tomatoe slices with my sandwich. Once in a while to spice it up will add a coupl of tablespoons of hot salsa with it.

I'm fine with anything as long as there is a grilled cheese on he side :thumbsup:

That does sound yummy. I usually make it with milk . We usually have it with grilled cheese but I may try your idea and add a little cheddar.

Tomato soup is nasty. At least for me. I like to eat tomato fresh. LOL!!

with milk instil of water.then a grail cheese sandwich is the way I like best.

I like mine with just a few ingredients, tomato, basil and salt and pepper.

I love tomato soup with a little cheese and a grilled cheese sandwich or just a bowl of soup and a little lemon pepper sprinkled on...yum :heart:

For me, just add a little milk and crackers.

We always had it Campbell's with milk and grilled cheese sandwiches, have never add chees to it.
